Description.

Jolteon is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is one of eight possible evolutions of Eevee.

Appearance.

Being an Electric-type Pokémon, Jolteon has yellow fur with a short, white mane. Its electric fur is spiked, giving it a spike-like appearance on its mane, neck, and the part of its hips down along with a small tuft of hair on its head. Its fur allows it to store large amounts of electricity in its fur to use as sharp spikes in combat, even paralyzing opponents who attack it in melee thanks to its static electricity. Unlike the other Eeveevolutions, Jolteon has a much more canine appearance than the rest of its evolutionary family. It has long, yellow ears with a black hue in the center, a small muzzle with a black nose, and completely black eyes with a white glow as a pupil. Jolteon walks on all fours, along with the other Eeveevolutions. It is also the only Eevee evolution that does not have a tail and is sometimes mistaken for fur.

Personality.

Jolteon is a very difficult Pokémon to deal with, with a very sensitive nature due to its great body electricity. Being a Pokémon with great speed, it tends to be quite arrogant and nervous with human inhabitants and even with other Pokémon. It is easy to offend it and even make it angry. Jolteon's nervous nature makes it a Pokémon that is too easy to scare, and as a result, it can accumulate negative energy from the environment and even the atmosphere itself to launch rays of up to ten thousand volts of power at its opponents. When its hair stands on end, it usually gives a signal that it is going to release an electric shock, since it has an organ in its lungs that produces electricity throughout its body. Eevee can evolve into Jolteon by having a Thunder Stone. It is a rather bipolar Pokémon that tends to have different mood swings, thanks to which it produces a lot of physical energy, excellent for combat, its great speed more than makes up for its low stamina.

Curiosities.

• At first glance there is no way to differentiate a male Jolteon from a female. • Regardless of the evolution of Eevee, if two of them are reproduced, only one Eevee will always come out. • Jolteon's tongue is too sensitive and electric, so a bite can be too lethal for a human. • It is common to see some like them in power plants and they usually go out for a walk in thunderstorms, which is the moment where anyone can find them. It is one of the most difficult Eevee evolutions to treat and carry despite not being as aggressive as Umbreon. • Jolteon can be buried alive quickly since the ground can strongly stop its electric attacks, in fact, that could be its biggest nightmare. • Electric-type Pokémon are popular because their static electricity can paralyze other Pokémon and people, and they cannot be paralyzed. • Accumulates negative ions in the atmosphere to launch rays of 10,000 volts of power. • The ions surrounding the body are negatively charged and cause a continuous sparking sound. • Jolteon's cells generate a low level of electricity, the intensity of which is increased by the static electricity it accumulates through a coat made of electrically charged needles. This feature allows it to shoot lightning bolts. • If agitated, it uses electricity to turn its fur into razor-sharp spikes and shoot them out in clusters.
