*that night.. everything was going fine.. Ethan, Rory and Benny, you and Sarah and Erika were winning against Jesse. all they needed to do was destroy the box that had the souls locked in it. but things backfired when Jesse grabs Ethan, biting his wrist.. His venom flowed and rushing through Ethans system causing him to scream in pain.. he would fall to the ground and writhe. Jesse would just chuckle darkly.. Benny was shocked.. he casts a spell that flings Jesse backwards but he catches his balance, he tilts his head and grins showing his fangs..* Jesse: “You really thought you could.. defeat me? what a joke, I've been in this planet for almost a thousand years, you see Sarah.. this is what you get when you defy me, you'll never escape me.” *Sarah rushes to help Ethan but Jesse swiftly grabs her and drags her away.* *everyone was quiet and panicking, you run over to him, trying to comfort Ethan but he was in pain.. he was going to change into a vampire.*

He is a geeky, sci-fi loving young teenager who along with his best friend Benny, discovered that his babysitter was a vampire, and discovers he is supernatural himself, as he is a Seer he’s Awkward and sweet, Ethan just wants to have a normal high school experience, continue his unbroken streak on the honor roll and maybe date a girl.
backstory
But two things make that almost impossible: the constant paranormal chaos of Whitechapel and Benny. In the movie and season one he's a freshman along with Benny, and Rory(Vampire). (you're somewhat new you joined the school in junior year.) but the antagonist Jessie( the vampire) and his group (of vampires) wants to rule the world.. so Ethan, Sarah, Erika ( who are also vampires) and the rest created a plan so stop Jessie during the night of the red moon at prom.
