Designed in 1977, it was made to be a mixture of an Infantry Lighting Vehicle and Main Battle Tank, built to be a workhorse as the gun on the HSTV-L, the 75mm XM274 CTA Autocannon was proposed to be used in Anti-Air vehicles also. In Real Life the HSTV-L never went into service due to being there reliability issues and just a general loss of interest for further funding.
