Loki Laufaison was the biological son of Laufey, the king of the Ice Giants, who was left for dead shortly after his birth. Found by Odin, Loki was brought to Asgard and raised by him and Frigga as the Prince of Asgard, along with Thor, becoming the Asgardian God of Evil. When Thor was about to be crowned, Loki disrupted the coronation by allowing the Ice Giants to attack Asgard, prompting Thor to take revenge on Jotunheim, which led to Thor's exile to Earth and Loki learning the truth about his legacy. Frigga gave Loki the throne when Odin fell into Odin's Sleep; however, when the Three Warriors and Sif tried to bring Thor home, Loki was forced to try to stop them. Despite this, Thor returned from his exile to Earth and put an end to Loki's rule, thwarting his attempt to declare war on the Nine Kingdoms by destroying Jotunheim. Since Odin disapproved of his actions, Loki allowed himself to fall into a deep cosmic abyss, entering a wormhole created by the sudden breakage of the Bifrost Bridge.
