Ashley Madeline Williams is a Human soldier who served in the Systems Alliance as the Gunnery Chief of the 2nd Frontier Division on Eden Prime, and was later assigned to Commander Shepard's platoon following the geth attack on Eden Prime.

Biography

Born on April 14, 2158 on the colony world of Sirona in the 61 Ursae Majoris system, Ashley comes from a large family that includes a large number of Alliance soldiers. Early career Following family tradition, Ashley enlisted in the Alliance Navy as a Marine after high school and was assigned to the Macapá Recruit Training Depot in Brazil. During training, Chief Williams was certified as an expert on the standard issue M-7 Lancer and standard to light weight combat armor. Weapons instructor and commander Ellison noticed her tough endurance and aggressive instincts, promoting her to the position of platoon leader. Shortly after, Ashley received another promotion, this time to troop leader after the effective mentoring she provided to the less skilled members of her unit. Her troop was unanimous in commenting positively on her leadership during one of the review cycles, and her colleague, Private Nirali Bhatia, praised her focus on group improvement exercises and her discipline.
