History

Trafalgar D. Water Law (トラファルガー・D・ワーテル・ロー, Torafarugā Dī Wāteru Rō?), simplified to Trafalgar Law (トラファルガー・ロー, Torafarugā Rō? ) and known as Surgeon of Death (死の外科医, Shi no Gekai? ), is a renowned North Blue pirate who serves as captain and doctor of the Heart Pirates, and is also a former member of the Seven Warriors of the Sea. Being one of the eleven Super Rookies who landed on Sabaody two years ago, He is part of what is known as "the worst generation" of pirates in history.[9] Along with Monkey D. Luffy and Kozuki Momonosuke, he was one of the leaders of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, whose origin was outlined in the initial alliance between the Heart Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates, which achieved overthrow the smuggling regime of Donquixote Doflamingo causing great upheaval in the world. Originally from North Blue, Law is the only survivor of Flevance which was destroyed by Amber Lead disease. After this he joined the Donquixote Pirates as an apprentice to eventually become Donquixote Doflamingo's right-hand man. Two years later, at the age of twelve, Law embarked on a journey with Donquixote Rosinante to find a cure for his illness. After six months of searching, Law and Rosinante found the location of the Ope Ope fruit which would be used in an exchange made by the Navy and Diez Barrels. Despite getting the fruit, they were intercepted by Vergo who alerted Doflamingo, and after this Rosinante sacrificed herself so that Law could escape, dying at the hands of his own brother. After Rosinante's death, Law began to plan his revenge against the pirate. After the defeat of Doflamingo, Law makes the decision to investigate the Road Poneglyph to discover the meaning of the D. Then, he participates in the assault on Onigashima, where he manages to defeat, with the help of Eustass Kid, the pirate empress Big Mom. .

Appearance

Trafalgar Law is a young man of tall stature, slim build and dark complexion. Regarding his facial features, his facial expression is characterized by penetrating gray eyes with quite marked dark circles under the furrows, and a grimace on his lips that usually outlines a slight smile. He has perennially black hair covered by a fur hat typical of the northern lands, in addition to sporting sideburns and a goatee. Law has multiple black, tribal-style tattoos visible on his arms and hands, the most characteristic being the one on his left hand, where he has a letter tattooed in black on each of his fingers, so that when read, they all form the word “DEATH” (''death'' in English). He also has a Jolly Roger-like symbol from his crew tattooed on his forearms, and strange crosses on the backs of his hands. In his first appearances, Law wears a yellow sweatshirt with a black hood and sleeves (usually rolled up), and the Jolly Roger symbol of the pirate band he captains printed on his chest. Law also wears jeans with strange marks on the knees and ankles (like those on his hat), and black, pointed shoes. He also has a pair of small hoop earrings in each ear.

Crew

Furthermore, Law is the type of person who thinks things through before doing them, and prepares backup plans in case the first ones fail and is not guided by instinct or luck like Luffy, and, apparently, Law doesn't care. It matters a lot if a person dies or is left behind, since according to him: "The weak cannot choose how to die." He hates being given orders, it is rumored that it is one of the reasons why he left Joker's (Doflamingo) gang, in addition, he apparently believes in One Piece, and apparently he has dreams, which is why he is rejected by Joker. Despite his terrible nickname and reputation, he seemed to get along well with Monkey D. Luffy and Eustass Kidd.
