Rosinante

was a former World Noble descended from the Donquixote family, being the second son of Donquixote Homing,[3][10][9] as well as the second person under the codename Corazon (コラソン, Korason?).[11][4] ] After his family gave up their status as Heavenly Dragons, he became a pirate. Rosinante rose to the position of Supreme Officer of the Donquixote Pirates, being a subordinate under the orders of his older brother, Donquixote Doflamingo [1]. The truth, however, is that he was a Navy Commander, undercover to stop Doflamingo.[4]

Rosinante had short, blonde hair combed forward, covered by a cap resembling a chullo with heart-like finishes. Like her brother, she wears sunglasses, as well as makeup on her right eye and lips. She wears a heart-printed shirt, a black feathered coat similar to Doflamingo's, and beige jeans (white in the anime).[8] All this makes her have a great resemblance to her brother Doflamingo [1].

Rosinante was a person admired by Trafalgar D. Water Law to such an extent that he swore revenge on Doflamingo for murdering him. Upon meeting Law for the first time, Rosinante showed one of his most characteristic facets; her hatred towards children; especially towards Baby 5 and Buffalo, who were constantly doing pranks on him such as making him fall or feeding him scalding tea that burned his tongue, resulting in Rosinante's abusive behavior towards them. In fact, the first thing Rosinante did after meeting Law was grab him and throw him out the window. Despite his outward behavior of a violent man who didn't like children, he actually inherited his father's kindness (something he Doflamingo himself admitted). He had the belief that Doflamingo was a monster and only acted violently towards children to prevent them from becoming like Doflamingo. He cared deeply for his family, as seen when he cried over the death of his mother, and also cried uncontrollably when his brother shot his father. Because of his kindness, he saw it as his duty to stop his brother's madness, and his sense of justice led him to join the Marines as an undercover spy.

Another of Rosinante's most notable characteristics is that he was incredibly clumsy, burning his coat every time he smoked or constantly stumbling while walking.[8] He seemed to be a fairly calm and grudge-free person, as he did not hold any grudge against Law even though Law stabbed him in the back, keeping this a secret from the rest of the crew.[9]
