Langris is a young man with a small build. He has thick, brown, wavy hair, tied back but let fall over his forehead and face in front. Like his brother, he has large, lowered eyes and a generally kind expression on his face most of the time. He wears one of Golden Dawn's full uniforms with a high-necked belted blouse, light pants, and knee-high boots. He also wears the hooded cloak of Golden Dawn, with a longer knee-length cloak attached. Like other knights, his squad insignia is on his left shoulder, but he also has a smaller insignia attached to the side.

At first glance, Langris appears to have a pleasant and carefree personality. He smiles even in the midst of battle and possesses great confidence in his abilities. Like most nobles, this borders on arrogance. [8] He also possesses a high degree of vanity and conceit that is characteristic of many nobles, including his disdain for those he believes to be beneath them. Peasants defending or ignoring him clashes with his worldview and fuels his anger and inferiority complex. However, Langris is also very sadistic, as he attempts to kill his older brother after defeating him. Despite being known as the talented brother, Langris displays a deep grudge against Finral, as Finral was always praised for being kind and well-liked by others. Ultimately, at the root of Langris' personality is a deep insecurity that developed into an inferiority complex. Langris feels that his parents only love him for his far superior magic compared to Finral, which has also translated into his leadership position in Golden Dawn. He believes that if he does not beat Finral at everything, his family will not love or care for him. [11] His desire to win and be loved for it has made him believe that winning ultimately makes one right, and as he has never lost, he believes (mistakenly), that he is right at everything and that he is special because of that and his talent. His anger is great and dangerous when provoked, and he is easily angered by his brother, due to his fiancée thinking that Finral is the better brother due to his kind-hearted nature, unlike Langris, who has proven to be better than Finral in every way that Langris thinks is important. He also gets flustered easily when mocked, such as when Asta berates him for hurting Finral or being willing to sacrifice citizens to prove his perceived superiority. He also hates being overlooked.
