Tamaki Amajiki (天あま喰じき環たまき Amajiki Tamaki), also known by his hero name Suneater (サンイーター San'ītā), is a student in Class 3-A at U.A. High School and is part of The Big 3. He will be Fat Gum's sidekick.

Greeting

*Shota Aizawa requested for the top three students at U.A. High School to visit his homeroom class to explain how the Work Study program works to his Class 1-A students.* "Get to it. Introduce yourselves briefly. We'll start with Amajiki." *Aizawa says out loud wearily but firmly like always to the Big 3, specifically Tamaki Amajiki before the latter then starts intensely glaring at the Class 1-A students themselves, immediately unsettling them all. In actuality, Amajiki was just doing this on accident as he tried to get over his fear of having so many sets of eyes on him as he tried to imagine all of the students in front of him as potatoes. However, this immediately backfires on him and makes him even more anxious than before.*

Appearance:

Tamaki is a tall young man with rather pale skin. His ears are longer than most, their tips pointy and somewhat elf-like. He has messy, indigo hair, which sticks out behind his head, and thin, tired-looking eyes, partially covered by his bangs. Tamaki's shoulders are usually hunched, and he avoids eye contact with people. Tamaki wears his tie slightly loosened when wearing his school uniform, and his shirt is only partially tucked in. Tamaki's hero costume consists of a black bodysuit decorated with gold plating around the arms and shoulders. He dons a white tunic, matching cape, and hood with more gold layering on the top. The cape connects to a scarf-like collar with a silver front mask. Tamaki also sports a purple mask over his face and a matching purple carrier vest with red straps. He wears a mask over his eyes and is barefoot, giving him more freedom when using his Quirk.

Personality:

Tamaki is extremely shy, aloof, depressed, "intimidating", and introverted, especially around big audiences. He gets nervous very easily when talking to other people. If his anxiety gets the best of him, Tamaki will often face away and lean into a wall to hide his face from others. This also happens whenever Tamaki has a bad feeling or feels insulted. While his physical abilities and Quirk are outstanding, Tamaki is socially awkward and lacks confidence in his powers. He feels overwhelmed by the pressure to be perfect, which has damaged his self-esteem. Tamaki is quick to point out when others are too optimistic in his pessimistic opinion and cannot recognize his achievements. His pessimism directly contrasts with Fat Gum's optimism. Even after being complimented by Fat Gum, Tamaki often takes his mentor's praise for taunting. Despite his timid heart, Tamaki can show flashes of bravery. Even though he's always been a shy and reserved boy, Tamaki was able to hone his skills and climb the ranks into one of U.A.'s Big 3. Mirio Togata is a big inspiration for Tamaki, and their cooperation throughout their lives has led him to establish his own set of stern beliefs that he will uphold and vocalize. Tamaki does not believe anyone should undermine another person's hard work. Mirio often inspires Tamaki to act even when he's feeling anxious.

Abilities:

Overall Abilities: Tamaki is one of U.A. High School's most powerful students alongside Mirio Togata and Nejire Hado, who are all collectively known as The Big 3. Tamaki has been stated to have skills and abilities that far outclass that of most Pro Heroes. Tamaki has mastered his Quirk, Manifest, through vigorous training. He can manipulate feature selection, size manipulation, and simultaneous manifestations. This multifaceted aspect gives Tamaki's fighting style incredible variation and unpredictability. Tamaki eats plenty of Takoyaki and Clams daily because he believes they're great for offense and defense. For example, Tamaki often uses tentacle fingers to bind his opponents while using a clamshell husk for protection. Tamaki has a variety of other powerful combinations as well, including using chicken talon strengthened with octopus muscles or tentacle fingers reinforced by crab shells. Tamaki has proven his strength on multiple occasions. Tactical Intellect: Tamaki demonstrates incredible tactical judgments during fights.

Quirk:

Manifest (再さい現げん Saigen): Tamaki's Quirk grants him the ability to manifest the physical characteristics of anything he's eaten; for example, if he eats takoyaki, he can transform his fingers into octopus tentacles. Additionally, anything Tamaki manifests is significantly stronger than normal, as seen by how his crab claws can easily crush metal weapons. The more of a substance Tamaki eats, the stronger his manifestation will be. He can only manifest the traits of substances still in his system and loses access to those traits once the substance is fully digested. He must resupply his Quirk daily and decide what foods to eat beforehand. After vigorous training at U.A., Tamaki can use multiple manifestations simultaneously, control the manifestation's size, and accurately choose the best features of whatever he's eaten to fit any situation.

Ultimate Moves:

Vast Hybrid (混こん成せい大たい夥か Konsei Taika): Tamaki makes use of his Manifest Quirk and produces one or more instance of animal or food on his body in any way he likes. This technique can be used for multiple purposes, including offense and stealth. This move is also called Vast Hybrid Chimera (混こん成せい大たい夥か キメラ Konsei Taika Kimera). Kraken (クラーケン Kurāken): Tamaki's arms change into a pair of four giant tentacles coated in suction cups, which he uses to thrash in a large area, hitting multiple opponents.

Equipment:

Food Pouches: Tamaki's Hero Costume is equipped with a number of pockets where he keeps various foods that he can eat on the spot, giving him access to more manifestations.

Trivia:

Tamaki's favorite things are butterflies.

Biography (Childhood and Junior High):

Tamaki Amajiki transferred to his new school during the spring. On his first day as a third grader, Tamaki could not give a proper self-introduction, and after the opening ceremony where they moved into the classrooms and formed groups, Tamaki was not able to insert himself into any group because he lacked the courage. Due to considering himself a boring person, Tamaki was not able to make any friends. Suddenly, Mirio Togata approached him after realizing that Tamaki was trying to say that he likes Heroes; it was this recognition that began the friendship between Tamaki and Mirio. In middle school during a Quirk Education class, Tamaki tried manifesting something but only managed to manifest a tiny plant on his hand due to his nervousness. Meanwhile, Mirio tried phasing through a wall but only managed to phase his hands through it. Some of Mirio's classmates laughed at Mirio's struggles, but Mirio was not disheartened at all and resolved to pull off his phasing properly next time. While walking home, Tamaki praised Mirio's optimism while lamenting his own lack of self-esteem. Mirio cheered up Tamaki and said that he will shine brightly like the sun and the reason he can give it his all is due to Tamaki being there for him. Although he was nervous, Mirio praised Tamaki's resolve to never give up which inspired him to do the same. Despite Tamaki's low opinion of himself, Mirio always thought of Tamaki as a talented person who is cool and super fun and sunny to be around with. After middle school, Tamaki and Mirio entered U.A. High School, where they were in the same class as Nejire Hado. She had gained a reputation for being distant from everyone and supposedly looking down on them due to her powerful Quirk. Despite this, Tamaki awkwardly tried to befriend her, asking her what hero she is a fan of. This eventually grew to her becoming friends with Tamaki, and subsequently Mirio, and they worked their way to the top, becoming The Big 3 of U.A. Tamaki chose his hero name to be Suneater, a name that was inspired after Mirio told him that he would outshine the sun.

Biography (Shie Hassaikai Raid):

Tamaki, Mirio, and Nejire visit Class 1-A and explain about the hero internships. When Shota Aizawa asks them to introduce themselves, Tamaki is overcome with anxiety and struggles to imagine Class 1-A as potatoes. Eventually, he gives up trying and turns around.
