He subsequently competed at the Inanimate Insanity Invitational until his elimination at The Shame of the Name, placing 18th overall. He is voiced by Brian Koch. Appearance Fan is a red Chinese folding paper fan. His body is shaped like an inverted triangle with two yellow sticks on each side. The red paper forms several folds on its body, causing triangular protuberances on the top. The red paper twists on his backside.

information 5

Personality Fan is a talkative, clumsy, and passionate contestant, commonly recognized as the biggest fan of Inanimate Insanity. He has a great interest in blogging and mentions it a couple of times throughout the show. He is generally ignorant and unaware of what is happening around him, and is mostly engrossed in his electronic devices, which he is almost always seen with. Most of his comments tend to be about the structure of the game, with him being very observant of the patterns within the program. There are times when Fan does not actively participate in challenges. However, when he puts his mind to it, he manages to be strategic and imaginative. [1] Fan has a knack for theorizing and speculating. His strongest ability is being observant and creative, however, this mostly comes down to focusing solely on the show. He is able to predict some of the events of the show due to his interest in writing down information and analyzing it. He follows his own observations with confidence, even if they may negatively affect other people. [2] However, Fan has learned to recognize the flaws in his theories and how they affect the people he cares about. [3] Fan can be inconsiderate of others' feelings, such as inappropriately laughing in Paintbrush's face when they are frustrated and not taking them seriously. [4] and even being callous about Lightbulb's death and caring more about how many times she has been torn apart. Despite this, he sometimes appears affectionate and apologizes to Paintbrush for his behavior. [5] Fan has a lot of trouble dealing with change, having negative reactions to the sudden alterations in patterns he observes in the show, such as breaking down because there is no elimination in "Mazed and Confused". Additionally, he expresses how difficult change is for him when he talks to Suitcase, who shows that he prefers routines and structure. [6]

information 6

Fan is not the best when it comes to social interactions and has a hard time making friends. He seems to be more attached and connected to non-living things, like his electronics or his blog, and finds real social connections more difficult. He found it easier to bond with the egg, which he could easily project into, and shows a lot of love and care throughout season 2. Despite this, he found relationships through the show and learned how to approach new people, such as how to initiate conversations. with the Test Tube and the Suitcase and forming a bond with them. Although Fan has trouble talking to others, he is not a very shy person. Due to his impulsiveness, Fan expresses himself in a very unpleasant way. Fan has fragile confidence and insecurities, causing him to quickly lose his composure when corrected. [7] He can also be quite stubborn, such as wanting to prove that Knife's observation about him is incorrect and being more aware of his surroundings despite his claim that he is not paying enough attention. Fan also has difficulty when it comes to talking about himself, but finds it easier to express himself through text, as shown in "Mine Your Own Business." Despite being very attached to the show and having a very emotional reaction to being eliminated, [6] Fan has learned to deal with the elimination better and has shown great growth in how he views himself in relation to the game. This leads him to be much more accepting of his elimination at the Invitational. Fan is a walking, talking database of the history of Inanimate Insanity, also known as a big "fan" of the show. Being a contestant is truly a dream come true for him, and he constantly watches (WATCHES) every facet of the competition. With an obsession with (BURNING EYES) the theories and patterns of the show's past, Fan is generally (NEVER) ignorant of what is going on around him and is actually the most ignorant competitor (AUTO

Skills

Folding/Flying: The fan can glide in the air if it is deployed in a semicircle shape. This is first seen in "Tri Your Best". He later uses his unfolding ability to expand his size in order to block the goal in "A Kick in the Right Direction", and conversely, folds completely in "Alternate Reality Show" to avoid the heat wave of Paintbrush.

Blogs

Fan used to blog from time to time on the Inanimate Insanity website. The link was shown during their triathlon stint in "Tri Your Best." The website's blog is now deactivated, but an archive consisting of posts from its old blog can be found on a fan-created Tumblr. Fan now has a Tumblr, where he posts from time to time. However, the blog has not been updated since its last post on April 7, 2021.

Trivia

Fan is the second notable character voiced by Brian Koch, the other being MePhone4S. Fan is one of the only contestants to own a phone, the others being Marshmallow and Bow. He is the only Inanimate Insanity II rookie to have one. He is also the only man to have one. On his character page on the Inanimate Insanity website, Fan edits his own description of him and notes that he would like to talk to the writer about fun facts about him. Fan is one of four Inanimate Insanity II contestants who were eliminated without receiving the most votes, the other three being Dough, Marshmallow, and Microphone. Of the three, he is the only one who has been eliminated after a contest due to Mephone4 not being available. The fan is made of paper, causing Lightbulb to sometimes call it Paper. Fan is the only contestant with a laptop as shown in "Marsh on Mars" and "Mine Your Own Business", however he is the second character to own a laptop, the first being Adam.

Trivia 2

Fan is the first man declared safe in Inanimate Insanity II. It is confirmed via Adam's Deviantart page that Fan believes Inanimate Insanity is completely scripted and not a real show with a real prize. He believes that he is only there to see it unfold in person. Fan was the last man in The Bright Lights after Yin-Yang's elimination. Cheesy, Microphone, and Fan are the only rookies to appear in season 1 of Inanimate Insanity. He is the only member of The Bright Lights to have appeared in it. Fan was the last male rookie to be eliminated in season 2. Coincidentally, he was the first male contestant eliminated in season 3. In "Mine Your Own Business", it is implied in his first vent that Fan is aware that Paintbrush is non-binary and refers to them as "they". However, this could just be him using a common gender-neutral pronoun. Fan was the seventh Bright Lights member eliminated. He also placed seventh overall in Inanimate Insanity II. Fan is the first season 2 rookie to be eliminated twice (the second was Box due to injuries and the third was Test Tube in "I Am Chocolate!") He is also the first Inanimate Insanity Invitational veteran to be eliminated. Fan is the first contestant to leave Indefinite Island after being eliminated. Him, suitcase and light bulb. are the only ones that never got a single vote throughout the merge in Inanimate Insanity II. Fan appeared in a tweet celebrating the birthday of GingerBrave, the main protagonist of the game CookieRun: Kingdom, along with many other characters. [8] In the BFDI Experience x II it has been confirmed that Fan, Bot and Test Tube are a family, as also shown in the most recent short. It is not specified what type of family they are, nor what Fan and Test Tube see themselves outside of the "family". Due to the reinstatement of Blueberry
