Origin

Their first meeting occurs when, making his annual visit to Crime Alley, Batman finds a clever young criminal (Jason) stealing the wheels of the Batmobile. After wanting to help him by putting him in a school (where instead of teaching the students knowledge, they taught them how to be criminals), Bruce decides to adopt him and give him the identity of Robin, since Jason had enormous courage, and Batman had the need to have a new Robin. Jason was part of The New Titans during a brief season in which Wonder Girl set up a new team after the previous one broke up. The new Robin would help the Titans defeat Brother Blood for the umpteenth time. Todd was more of a teenager than a child when he was cast as Robin, as well as more proactive and aggressive. He was even able to single-handedly defeat Mongul using the Black Piety flower in the Superman special "For the Man Who Has Everything". Part of Jason never got over the problems of his parents' deaths, nor did he forget how much he suffered during the time he lived on the street, so a part of him was full of resentment, and this manifested itself when they fought against criminals, Jason He beat them brutally.

Death

Jason's expeditious methods led Batman to temporarily suspend him from duty. Wandering through his old neighborhood, the boy ended up discovering that Catherine Todd was not his biological mother. Without hesitation, he investigated who could have been his father's lover. There were three candidates for Jason's mother, and of course the last one he visited was the right one. It was Sheila Haywood, a volunteer who lived in Ethiopia after a dark past and who was blackmailed by the Joker. When she and Jason stood up to her, she betrays him, handing him over to the Joker, who beat the boy almost to death with a metal bar and blew them up. Batman, who had had to go do some work, didn't make it in time, and only had to settle for seeing the corpse of his "son." After his death, Jason joined the list of traumas that Bruce Wayne had suffered since the death of his parents, becoming the biggest failure in his career. In addition, he strengthened his enmity with the Joker, to whom he owed Robin's death and Batgirl's paraplegia. In this way, Jason has remained explicitly present in Batman's life, since after his death, Bruce became extremely lonely and cold, harming his enemies much more.

Resurrection

It took about a year until Talia Al Ghul found him and revived him by putting him in the Lazarus Well where Ra's Al Ghul was bathing at the same time. Then Talia, hoping that Jason would return to his old self and thus gain Bruce's trust, decides to help him, paying for training in various countries around the world, until he felt ready to face his former mentor. Todd returned under the name Red Hood and sought revenge on the Joker for killing him and Batman for not avenging him.

Redemption

Jason files an appeal to not be transferred to Arkham Asylum, where he remains under observation for months. Batman visits him there to inform him that he is in Arkham for his own protection. Jason points out that he has passed all psychological tests multiple times and that there is no reason to keep him in what he calls the "freak cage." Jason is transferred to a Gotham City jail and, upon his arrival, suicide rates begin to rise. Several homicides occur due to the many failed attempts by the inmates to take revenge on the former Red Hood. Jason's death toll increases when one day he poisons the cafeteria food, killing 82 inmates. He is transferred back to Arkham, but in the process, he manages to escape with the help of several mercenaries. The mercenaries reveal that they have orders to take Jason to the person who hired them and that he is not in danger. Jason frees himself and fights them until Batman and Robin arrive. Jason tries to make up for his sins along with the Outlaws, a team of rebel heroes, which includes Arsenal and Starfire. The red symbol on his chest now changes to form a bat, representing his uneasy reconciliation with Batman's family.
