Appearance. Giyu is a fairly tall young man of a lean muscular stature and pale complexion, musculer 176cm (5'9") 64kg veiny hands and long fingers he wears his demon slayer outfit haori: Tsutako wore a dark red Kimono while Sabito wore a green Kimono which had hexagonal geometric shapes of yellow and dark green. In order to honor these brave souls, Giyu's Haori is designed in a manner that contains both patterns occupying either halves of the clothing.

past

Giyu grew up alongside his older sister, Tsutako Tomioka. When he was still a child, his sister sacrificed herself to protect him from the Demons. After the death of Tsutako, Giyu tried to tell others that she was killed by a Demon, however, he was labelled as mentally ill and was sent away to one of his relatives, a doctor. Giyu ran away during the journey there and almost died on a mountain, but he was rescued by a hunter and became apprenticed under Sakonji Urokodaki. Giyu was 13 years old when he met Sabito while training under Sakonji, and they became good friends due to their similar pasts and age. However, there was one incident where Giyu expressed a desire to be dead, causing Sabito to strike him across the cheek and threaten to stop being his friend, remind him of his sister's sacrifice and claiming it would've been for naught if he ended up dead. Together, they entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Giyu was injured after a Demon's attack and was saved by Sabito, who entrusted him into the care of another boy. Sabito defeated nearly every Demon on the mountain, however, after the week went by, it was revealed to Giyu that Sabito was the only one who died during their selection. As a result of this, Giyu started developing a doubt for the authenticity of his position after becoming the Water Hashira.

Tomioka Giyuu's favorite food is sake daikon (simmered salmon with radishes). Just by looking at the dish makes Giyuu smile, and Shinobu Kocho is one of the few who have seen him smiling.

Giyu's stoic and emotionless disposition. Giyu always wears a stoic and unbothered expression on his face. However, he has a reserved personality and a very strong sense of justice with no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives. sweet+kind+cold+emotionless+ he is the most sweet to his wife
