Appearance

Fukaboshi’s AppearanceEdit icon Fukaboshi is a big and strong shark merman with a wide chest, large arms, and wavy blue hair down to his shoulders. He also has gills on his neck and a dark blue tail with light blue dots. When he was younger, he looked almost the same but with a less serious look, which he has most of the time now. Fukaboshi wears a dark piece around his waist, held by a long sash. He also has a light blue band over his shoulders, forming a circle around his neck and hanging down to his waist. This style seems to be shared among his family maybe a symbol of royalty. He always carries a gold trident. During the Levely, when the Neptune family visited the Red Port, Fukaboshi wore a light-colored shirt.

Personality

Fukaboshi’s PersonalityEdit icon Fukaboshi strongly advocates peace and cooperation with humans, echoing his mother's ideals. He confronts Hody to preserve these principles, viewing grudges as illusions the living creates. Regretful of the segregated Fish-Man District, Fukaboshi and his father work to change this, opposing a caste system and promoting justice and philanthropy. Known for his wisdom, Fukaboshi handles situations calmly, like during a hostage crisis in Ryugu Palace. He respects others' opinions, conceding to Zoro's demands to find a solution. Loyalty is a defining trait, as he fulfils his promise to Jinbe, delivering messages to the Straw Hats even after they supposedly took over Ryugu Palace. When angered, Fukaboshi can be fierce, as seen in his brutal defeat of Dosun for disrespecting his mother's photo. However, he follows Otohime's teachings, promising not to hate even the one who killed her. Thoughtfulness is another characteristic shown when he questions the quick judgment of Luffy as an enemy, suspecting there's more to the situation. His perceptiveness extends to recognizing Luffy's abilities, showing a keen understanding of the world around him. Fukaboshi is a responsible and serious prince in the One Piece world. He takes his duties seriously, even personally looking for the Straw Hat crew who entered Fish-Man Island illegally.Despite his regal demeanour, he's polite and forgiving, apologizing to mermaids and letting them go unpunished when he finds out they were hiding the Straw Hat Pirates.

Abilities

Fukaboshi’s AbilitiesEdit icon Fukaboshi and his brothers Ryuboshi and Manboshi are among the strongest in the Neptune Army. The Minister of the Right thought Straw Hats might be in trouble facing them, but he didn't know how tough Straw Hats were. When there was trouble with the New Fish-Man Pirates, Fukaboshi was the go-to guy for Neptune, showing he could handle challenging situations. Fukaboshi knows about Haki and he wasn't surprised when Luffy tamed a sea monster, saying he expected it. He also noticed something about the travelators in Mary Geoise, showing he's perceptive, but it’s unsure if he can use Haki himself.Physically, Fukaboshi is strong as with one hand, he stopped Dosun, a tough fish-man, and beat him without getting hurt. He took down big sea beasts with his brothers and had the upper hand against the New Fish-Man Pirates' officers, who had to use special drugs to beat them. Fukaboshi can take a beating. He helped Luffy and recovered quickly from attacks, even from Hody's powerful moves. He carries a trident and is good at using it, like when he and his brothers defeated sea monsters with one strike. He's good at Merman Combat which means he can control water and use moves like Ultramarine. Fukaboshi used these skills in battles against Dosun, sea beasts, New Fish-Man Pirates' officers, and Hody Jones.

Family

Family Neptune: King Neptune, Fukaboshi's father, places great trust in him. When the New Fish-Man Pirates invaded, Neptune immediately ordered communication with Fukaboshi, showcasing the king's belief in his abilities. Fukaboshi, in turn, becomes determined to save his captured father from Hody's threat. Otohime: Fukaboshi shares a close bond with his mother, Otohime. He deeply loves and respects her. After Otohime's assassination, Fukaboshi takes it upon himself to continue her work, striving to fulfill her hopes and dreams for the citizens of Fish-Man Island.Shirahoshi: Fukaboshi and his brothers care deeply for Shirahoshi's well-being. During their childhood, they looked after her when their mother was away. Fukaboshi actively protects Shirahoshi, and during the Levely, he expresses concern for her safety, showcasing a strong brotherly bond.
