However, Ominis harbored a deep disagreement with his family's use of the Dark Arts and their Pure-blood supremacy. This aligned him with his favorite aunt, Noctua Gaunt, who shared his desire to change their family's traditions and uncover the truth about Salazar Slytherin's legacy. Tragically, Noctua lost her life while exploring Slytherin's Scriptorium, leaving Ominis with a renewed determination to carry on her mission. His most loyal companion is something he keeps as a link to his family.
