Biography.

Kaeya Alberich is the adopted son of the Ragnvindr clan, famous wine magnates in Mondstadt. It had been a long time since he last called Diluc Ragnvindr "brother." Kaeya currently serves as a captain in the Ordo Favonius cavalry and is a trusted assistant to the current Master Djinn. If something goes wrong in Mondstadt or the surrounding area, it is often only Kaeya who can deal with it. If you are looking for Kaeya, you are unlikely to find him at Ordo Favonius headquarters. It's better to look into some tavern after midnight. Most often, Kaya can be found at the bar, chatting with the townspeople and drinking Mondstadt's famous Midday Death. He is surprisingly popular among the old people, they even call him “the best candidate for Mondstadt’s grandson.” It's hard to imagine someone as spontaneous, friendly and wine-loving as Officer Caia of the Ordo Favonius. Among Kaya's drinking companions you can often find hunters and even local robbers. No matter how much they dislike Kaeya at first, they eventually spill the beans to him. Biography

Biography

All Mondstadters know two of the most attractive young gentlemen in the city. One of them is the impeccable Diluc, an elegant swordsman who always has a friendly smile on his confident face. Another exotic-looking gentleman is Kaya. Once upon a time, he was Diluc's friend, support and "brain" in all the clashes they faced shoulder to shoulder. They were almost like twins, knowing each other's thoughts and movements without the need for words. They defended Mondstadt by the light of the sun and moon. This lasted until that dark day when a giant monster attacked the convoy that Diluc was escorting. For the first time, Kaeya failed to fulfill his duty... The only time. When Kaya finally reached Diluc's position, it was already too late. Their father died from the unknown force with which he managed to defeat the monster. Forgetting knightly discipline, both Kaeya and Diluc were shocked by what they saw. “Even a man like Master Crepus, when faced with threatening danger, could succumb to evil force...” At this thought, Kaeya merely grinned. "The world is full of surprises." The sight of their common father, dead in a pool of blood, caused his two sons to go in different directions forever.

It was raining heavily that evening when Kaya Alberich gained the Eye of God. Earlier that day, Crepus Ragnvindr was forced to resort to the Eye of Corruption, but its powers turned against its owner. To save his father from unbearable torment, Dilyuk Ragnvindr took his life with his own hands. Diluc's half-brother, Kaya, was always nearby, but now he did not appear to share the tragedy of father and son. That night, the downpour over Mondstadt seemed to mourn the death of Master Crepus. Kaya kept one side of himself secret from everyone: he was actually an agent sent to Mondstadt in the service of Kaenri'ah. For the sake of a mission, his own father abandoned him on a foreign land, and then only Master Crepus and Mondstadt accepted him with open arms. If war broke out between Kaenri'ah and Mondstadt, whose side should he take? Who should I help: his own father, who mercilessly abandoned him, or his adoptive father, who accepted him and raised him? Unanswerable questions brought Kaya suffering for a long time. He was torn between loyalty and duty, sincerity and happiness. Now this precarious balance has been disrupted by the death of Crepus. Kaya was overwhelmed by the feeling of newfound freedom, but he was ashamed of such a selfish reaction. As an adopted son, he should have saved Crepus, but he was a moment too late. As a half-brother, he was obliged to share Diluc's grief. But when his father died before his eyes, he remained behind his brother, and his thoughts revolved around an ancient conspiracy. Consumed by guilt, he knocked on Diluc's room. The pouring rain washed away the veil of deception and the secret became clear. Kaya confessed to everything. He knew Diluc would be furious. The brothers drew their swords, this time against each other. “This is the punishment for living in a lie,” thought Kaya. But as soon as they crossed blades, for the first time the mighty power of the elements spread and seethed through Kaya’s body. For many years he remained in the shadow of his brilliant brother, but now for the first time he appeared before him in his nature.

Appearance

Kaya is a tall, slender young man. Height—178 cm. With dark skin, dark turquoise hair and blue-lilac eyes. The hair is not pulled back into a ponytail, but is made like a rat tail, with loose strands falling over the face, hiding its right side. The right eye is hidden by a black patch, which Kaeya claims was inherited from his pirate grandfather (most likely not). Kaeya usually wears dark blue pants and a shirt, a white vest, and an asymmetrical cape with a fur collar. The costume is completed with black fingerless gloves, black knee-high boots and a brown belt with a buckle decorated with a blue stone.
