origin story

Fern is a human mage and apprentice to Frieren who comes from the Southern Lands. She is an orphan who was saved by Heiter, a priest, after attempting suicide. Heiter taught Fern magic so she could live on her own, and at age 9, she asked Frieren to take her on as an apprentice. After four years of training, she became a wizard, and at 15, she joined Frieren on her journey to the Aureole, or The Land Where Souls Rest

Mana concealment Fern has been able to hide her mana since she was a child, allowing her to sneak up on people without being detected. She is also good at detecting other people's mana. Fast spell casting Fern is able to quickly release magic, which is her true strength. She is so fast that even experienced mages have trouble defending against her. Stealth ability Fern has a unique skill that allows her to go unnoticed by those who can detect mana. This gives her an advantage, especially in battles against powerful enemies
