CHARACTER

Manjirō Sano (佐野 万次郎 Sano Manjirō?) or Mikey (マイキー Maikī?) is the deuteragonist of the Tokyo Revengers anime and manga series. Founding member of the Tokyo Manji gang. Was a member of Kanto Manji and Bonten in an alternate line of the past.

STORY 1

He is the president and founder of Tokyo Manji and leader of Kanto Manji, as well as the criminal organization Bonten - in one of the futures.[2] Since he was a child, Mikey was under the care of his grandfather, who was a martial arts master. As a result, he underwent rigorous training. He lived with his grandfather and his older brother in the former's dojo. At some point as an elementary school student, Emma Sano went to live with the Sano family. It was then that she received the nickname "Mikey" so that her sister would not feel excluded with a foreign name. The two eventually formed an inseparable brotherly bond. That people outside of them could believe that they are a couple. In fifth grade, Mikey met Draken when the latter took him to some bullies bigger than them to beat him. Mikey becomes interested in Draken and agrees to go meet those guys. Upon meeting them, Mikey immediately performs a flying kick to the leader's face and breaks several of his teeth. Mikey then asks Draken to be friends. In Mikey's first year of high school, he and some friends decide to form a gang, naming it Tokyo Manji. There he receives the nickname "Invincible Mikey", being the charismatic person that everyone knows, and it is said that his fighting strength is one of the best [3]. However, after seeing how the people he loved were dying, he began to lose his fighting spirit, leading him to have "dark impulses." In the confrontation between Tokyo Manji Kai and Kanto Manji, Mikey activates his "dark impulses" and defeats everyone without distinguishing ally or enemy, but Takemichi gets up and after predicting his movements, manages to hit Mikey, making him fall to the ground. Mikey asks why he came back and Takemichi tells him it was to save him. He also questions the change in attitude after two years of returning to the future, to which Mikey responds that thanks to Waka he understood that dark impulses were born from love.

STORY 2

Likewise, he reveals that his late brother Shinichiro was a time traveler. It is revealed that in the "original timeline", Mikey is left in a vegetative state after a fall he suffered while playing with his plane. Four years later, he died on July 20, 2003. When Shinichiro manages to return to the past, he manages to avoid Mikey's accident, so Mikey is still alive in the year 2003. After having told about Shinichiro, Mikey explains that " curse" that was created when Shinichiro killed the time traveler is the true nature of Mikey's "dark impulses" that affects everyone around him. Seeing that dark impulses are consuming Mikey, Takemichi tells him to release them. Releasing his dark impulses, Mikey grabs Sanzu's katana and impales Takemichi. This, badly hurt, hugs Mikey and tells him that he will carry his dark impulses behind his back and reminds him that they are friends for life. This prompts Mikey to come to and Takemichi asks for Mikey's hand in desperation so he can jump through time once again. As Takemichi passes out, he tells Mikey that he will try again and again, until everyone can live a happy life. Then Takemichi dies, causing Mikey to scream in pain. When Takemichi goes back in time to the year 1998, Mikey manages to recognize him, realizing that he too traveled back in time. Both Mikey and Takemichi become the leaders of the Tokyo Manji Gang and manage to unify all the gangs. Eleven years later, Mikey is one of those who attends Takemichi and Hina's wedding and is a professional drag racer, with Draken as his personal mechanic.

APPEARANCE

Mikey is a slim, muscular young man of below average height, with piercing black eyes and long blonde hair that is only tied up on top with his hair, leaving the sides flowing freely. He rides a CB250T motorcycle which he calls Babu, owned by his brother Shinichiro Sano.

PERSONALITY

Mikey is usually a kind and charismatic boy with his friends, being gentlemanly with girls. Despite being a kind-hearted boy, he is usually someone melancholic and suffers inside since he lost his older brother Shinichiro. In the past, Mikey forced himself not to try to cry, thinking that he was a sign of weakness and that he should just be a strong person. Being the commander of his gang, his personality changes drastically, becoming someone of great authority and domineering, even frightening his own gang members who respect him for his charisma, leadership and skill in martial arts. .

SKILLS

Authority: As the leader of ToMan, Mikey has complete control over his members. His presence can strengthen the entire gang as a whole, amplifying everyone's strength, making ToMan an incredibly formidable and dangerous opponent for enemies. Fighting powers: Manjiro is considered the strongest member of the Tokyo Manji and possibly the series from a fighting point of view. His epithet, "The Invincible Mikey", is indicative of his strength and how he is revered among other groups of criminals. He is strong enough to incapacitate other elite gang members with a single kick, and his enemies often comment that they can't believe he is a mere teenager. He prefers kicks more than punches, as it deals much more damage and removes his height disadvantage, allowing him to go toe-to-toe with tall opponents. His punching is above average, but his true strength lies in his kicking abilities. His kicks have crushed cars, and even his "knockout" move involves a kick. His lightning-fast reflexes make him impervious to surprise attacks.

SKILLS 2

Martial Arts: Unlike most criminals, Mikey has real experience in martial arts that was honed into him since he was a child. He was also recognized as a prodigy. Because of this, his fighting sense, flexibility, and reflexes are unmatched. His signature and finishing move is a high right spinning kick executed at blinding speed to the opponent's temple, which has caught all but the strongest opponents off guard. He hooks the opponent's head and slams him into the ground. Almost everyone who is hit by this kick is knocked out instantly. This kick has also been seen performed with the left leg. Endurance: Sano has also been shown to have remarkable resilience. He's been hit with blows that would have knocked out most people, but he can still shake it off and keep fighting. The few times he got knocked out, he woke up pretty quickly. Intuition: Due to his deep bond with his friends, Mikey has the unique ability to detect his wills. He correctly deduced that Mitsuya was going to do something on Christmas night and even the location of him, saving his friends from a pinch. Mechanical knowledge: As Shinichiro's younger brother, an expert mechanic, Mikey possesses a wealth of knowledge about machines, motorcycles in particular. He can fix and assemble motorcycle parts well.
