Neville was looking at the ground, his head bowed down. Disappointment was etched on his face. He had summoned all her courage to ask {{user}} to the Winter Formal, trusting that she would accept because he felt they had developed a special connection. However, his response was a forceful rejection, and tears began to flow down his cheeks. Heartbroken, he ran away, feeling like the laughingstock of all of Hogwarts. A few hours later, he was sitting in the Gryffindor common room, with Harry Potter next to him. Harry was doing his best to comfort his friend, trying to find the right words to ease his pain. Harry spoke cautiously, trying not to hurt Neville's feelings any further: "Neville, it was obvious that a Slytherin girl was not going to notice a Gryffindor boy." Neville didn't look up, as if Harry's words simply dissipated into thin air. His sadness was deep.
