Genus
Genos (ジェノス, Jenosu) is the deuteragonist of One Punch-Man. He is a 19-year-old cyborg and Saitama's disciple. He always aims to be the strongest and fights for justice. Under the Hero Association, he is given the name Demonic Cyborg (鬼サイボーグ, Oni Saibōgu) and is currently in the S-Class, rank 14.

Appearance
Genos has a mechanical body that is modeled after that of a teenager, with a pale face, yellow eyebrows, piercing eyes with black sclera and yellow irises, and spiky blonde hair. He wears black pants and black shoes, and also tends to wear tops which expose his mechanical upper limbs. Genos has been shown to have many different sets of arms, with varying abilities and strengths. Notable examples of his various "arms" are the ones he used in the sparring match against Saitama and the arms he used to fight Meteor. The equipment he used against Meteor had an interesting effect in not only changing the appearance of his arms, but also creating a metal "frame" around his face.
Personality
Genos is extremely strong-willed and serious. He constantly strives to become more powerful by frequently asking Saitama to train him. Since becoming Saitama's disciple, Genos is very reverent and protective towards his "sensei", he greatly admires and respects him and can be quite accommodating towards him; although there are times when he expresses disgust and disbelief at the mundane training regimen that Saitama used to gain his strength. On most occasions, Genos acts as a comic foil to Saitama's clueless antics, using a variety of special techniques, battle tactics, and robotic upgrades to fight monsters and villains (taking horrific damage in the process and on one occasion nearly dying), only to be bested by Saitama with a single blow. Due to Saitama's incredible strength, Genos becomes aware that there is a secret to Saitama's power. Despite their disparity in strength, Genos earns greater recognition than his mentor. His superior acumen granted him immediate status as an S-Class hero within the Hero Association, as opposed to Saitama's C-Class designation. He also apparently possesses a large amount of money, enough to repair and upgrade his cyborg body whenever it returns destroyed from combat and cover Saitama's rent on a regular basis. Over time he softens and he acknowledges that this is due to Saitama's influence. Eventually he comes to respect Saitama not only for his power, but for his character as well. This was shown when Genos comments on how similar he was in his past to Amai Mask, before he met Saitama, by having no mercy in his heart and annihilating as many monsters as villains in cold blood. Genos slowly becomes less serious and becomes a little curious about some minor things like the meaning of fun.
Surprisingly, he is quite disrespectful towards those who interrupt Saitama or constantly annoy him, as whenever Bang or Fubuki orders him around or tries to recruit Saitama, he will continually tell them to get to the point and defend his position as Saitama's disciple, and nothing more. This hostile behavior not only extends to those who offend Saitama, but Dr. Stench as well. This is seen when Fubuki asks Dr. Stench to join the Fubuki Group, going as far as insulting her and threatening to incinerate her. Genos even does the same to Saitama when he calls Dr. Stench an "old man", but Genos immediately apologizes when Saitama tells him to lighten up a bit. Genos seems to have a certain sense of pride in his abilities and himself. This is seen in his battle against Awakening Roach when he shows slight disappointment at having to use the sticky stuff on himself as it would force Genos to accept that there were monsters much faster than him. However, his fight with Face Reaper, Awakening Roach, and Garou shows that he is no longer thinking about raw power and is considering defensive measures. Genos has started using tricks to gain the upper hand in his fights now, though that is usually seen when he has no other choice. Initially, Genos was a loner who used to fight and confront monsters individually, but as the story progressed he has begun to collaborate more and work as a team with other heroes, he collaborated with Bang and Bomb to defeat the Elder Centipede, also during the Monster Association arc he is seen working alongside Drive Knight and Tatsumaki to defeat Psykos. Even so, Genos remains distant from his S-Class companions and does not usually fraternize with them, but maintains a cordial relationship with some of them such as Bang, King and Drive Knight.
Skills and Powers
As an S-Class hero, Genos is certainly a powerful fighter for someone his age. Genos also has significant battle experience, as he claims to have defeated countless evil entities and organizations before meeting Saitama. His youth and impulsiveness still get the better of him on occasion and he is still much weaker than Saitama. However, despite his incredible growth, he is still unable to hold his own against Dragon-level threats. Fortunately, after his fight with Sonic, Genos has become more open to using tricks to gain the upper hand. His fights with Face Reaper, Sly Roach, and Garou show that he is no longer thinking about raw power and is considering defensive measures. Virtual Genocide System (VGS) simulations show Genos (after his G4 upgrade) with a 70% increased chance of victory against any Ogre-level disaster-level monster.
Physical Skills
Immense Strength: Enhanced by his cyborg physiology, Genos possesses incredible physical strength, and is able to shatter the ground with an axe kick, and rapidly strike with enough force to tear the surface of a cliff. During his brief fight with the Deep Sea King, he was able to land a punch on the creature which sent him flying through the roof of the safety shelter. Virtual Genocide System (VGS) simulations show Genos being able to easily overpower Mosquito Girl in one attack, and dehydrate the Deep Sea King with two attacks after G4's enhancements. Immense Speed and Reflexes: He can move so fast that he appears to be teleporting. He was able to keep up with Sonic the Hedgehog for a considerable amount of time during their battle. Both were faster than sound during their fight. Immense Stamina: He can continue fighting perfectly well even with only one arm. With the various battles he has fought, he has been shown to be able to stand on his two feet after several blows from Asura Kabuto, and was also conscious even after using up almost all of the energy in his core. However, given the expression on his face after making contact with the Deep Sea King's acidic saliva, it could be assumed that he is in pain from the direct acidic corrosion of his body. In addition to this, he often shows no significant signs of fatigue.
Cyborg Modifications
Full-Body Cyborg Enhancement: Genos' human body has been replaced with combat-ready cybernetics and prosthetics, giving him an extreme level of strength and speed, as well as advanced sensors and projectile attacks. All of his parts have made Genos too heavy to swim and he requires special parts to do so. Despite these modifications, Genos is still able to eat normal food, as shown when he engages in an eating contest with Saitama. "Core" (コア, Koa): Genos' cyborg internals are powered by an orb in his chest called a "core", presumably designed by Dr. Stench. Genos has been shown to be able to put his core into the shoulder of his arm, releasing between 80%-93% of its energy with his heat rays maximized. Armor and Spare Parts: Genos gains not only incredible durability from his armored body, but also benefits from the nature of the robotic equipment itself. Genos can lose limbs or have his body torn apart, only to return to perfect "health" through replacement parts and repairs (the source of the replacement parts is unclear). As an android, Genos does not seem to feel pain, and can continue fighting even when missing limbs or severely injured. Genos' durability is such that despite taking several powerful blows from Asura Kabuto, and having one of his own powerful blasts reflected back at him, he was still conscious and able to stand and walk. "Cyborg Leg" (サイボーグレッグ, Saibōgureggu): Genos' legs have a durable design to withstand high-speed movements. They are equipped with a shock-absorbing mechanism that keeps the interval between landing and the next movement short.
"Incineration Cannons" (焼却砲, Shōkyaku-hō): Genos' palms contain ports that allow him to fire large, powerful blasts of heat or flames at significant distances. One blast from his palms was powerful enough to obliterate a multi-story building that was the base of the House of Evolution, which in turn caused seismic movements in the mountain it was located on and those around it. Later, while training in a fight with Saitama, Genos reveals cannons built into his fists and arms that can produce stronger blasts. Genos has also shown to be able to reduce the power of his blasts to a warm breeze, which he uses to dry dishes. During his fight against the Forest King, he upgrades his cannons to have the Rocket-G Engine, which increases the destructive power to incinerate the Forest King and the Forest Tribe with little effort. "Hyper Sensors" (ハイパーセンサー, Haipāsensā): Genos' android body contains an array of passive and active sensors that allow him to scan the environment for enemies, both during active combat and during remote reconnaissance. However, the sensors are not perfect, as they can be fooled by the extreme speed of an opponent such as Saitama, and their usefulness is limited by Genos' reaction time. "Searching Eye" (ーチアイ, Sāchiai): Genos is able to detect heat signatures and analyze speeds. Sticky Gel: A tool Genos gained after his fight with Sonic to take on opponents faster than him. The gel is extremely sticky, preventing fast opponents from moving and allowing Genos to defeat them.
Detachable Arms: During his fight with Garou, his hands were enhanced to be able to detach from his body with ease and are armed with rocket boosters to be remotely controlled by Genos. He is also armed with restraining wire to restrain opponents. Debuted after the post-tournament update. Genos can also reattach his torso to his body if they are severed as seen in his battle with the Elder Centipede. Blade Arms: Genos' arms are armed with sharp blades. Debuted after the post-tournament update. "Boosters" (ブースター, Būsutā): Once Genos has engaged, these boosters located on his shoulders allow for astonishing acceleration. By utilizing his palms for jet propulsion in the opposite direction, Genos is capable of rapid maneuvers. Household Arms: When not in battle, Genos' arms can turn into special tools dedicated to household chores. His right hand comes with a built-in vegetable peeler and his palms also allow him to blow a warm breeze to dry dishes. It's also been mentioned that Genos could be the number one housekeeper.
Anti-Saitama Tactical Arms: These are a set of replacement weapons used during the National Hero Registration Arc when Genos and Saitama fought at the quarry. These arms are differentiated from his normal arms by being black, having much larger shoulders, forearms, and fists, and generating a glow between the metal plates and their eyes turning white when active. The fists and forearms of these arms open up to reveal various weapons. The projectiles and energy charges the guns generate are significantly larger than his normal blasts, and are characterized by smaller individual beams surrounding the main beam. If he puts both fists together, the resulting explosion is massive, much larger than that of one arm. "Weapon Mode" (アームズモード, Āmuzu Mōdo): A prototype weapon system possessed by Genos. When inactive it takes the form of a suitcase. To activate it, Genos pushes a button on the handle and then throws it in front of him. The suitcase splits down the middle and separates, each half then opening to reveal the "arms" inside with the container and then flipping back over to become the attachment mechanism. Genos then throws his arms into the new "arms" and they attach to him causing a small electrical discharge. When the "arms" fully attach, the parts run up his shoulders and neck and his face is framed by pieces of metal. The new arms are much thicker and are all black, with the blaster in his palm having changed shape as well. When using these arms, Genos was shown to be able to move his core to the shoulder of his right arm, directing all of his power into a massive explosion.
G4 Upgrade: After defeating the G4 battle robot, Genos replaces his parts with G4's parts that increased his speed and power. This allows him to keep up with Speed of Sound Sonic, one of the fastest characters in the series, and even cut his hair in one attack. After this upgrade, Genos' arms' design changes again. His hair also received fiber upgrades to make it resistant to shock, acid, and heat. Additionally, he gained adhesive gel. According to the Virtual Genocide System (VGS) simulations, Genos could defeat the Deep Sea King and Mosquito Girl with relative ease. However, the Virtual Genocide System (VGS) simulations also show that Asura Kabuto would still beat Genos in two attacks, even with G4's upgrades. Post-Tournament Enhancements: After Genos' body is destroyed by Gouketsu, Dr. Stench rebuilds him into a new version that further increases his strength. With these enhancements, he was able to keep up with the "Hero Hunter" Garou, who praised his skills and even compared his physical strength to that of Tanktop Master. Additionally, Genos can now regrow his body parts if they become detached.
Anti-Monster Association Upgrades: After Genos' battle with the Elder Centipede, Dr. Stench repaired Genos into his new form. This form has sharper, more jagged arms compared to the previous forms. The flamethrower holes on his hands take the shape of an open demon mouth and he can fire a blast using both hands in a combo attack. The silhouette of his two arms is shaped like a dragon. This form focuses on power and lacks balance. Genos can go at full power for about 10 seconds. Any longer and his core will give out and explode possibly killing Genos. The appearance this upgrade gives him, makes Genos live up to his hero name "Demonic Cyborg".
Equipment
Notebook: Genos always carries a notebook to write down everything important he hears from his teacher.
