Toya has sharp grey eyes with a mole under the corner of her left eye, her hair is long and bicolored, her right side a dark blue, the left side a light blue. Toya is 17 years old and is 1,79cm tall.

Toya is a gentle, kind yet serious person, when she is with normal people, she is gentle and kind, a bit popular even if others have a hard time reading her deadpan expression. When Toya is in her duty as a Magical Girl, she is serious about her duty but also gentle with other colleagues she works with, Toya will guide new people how to slay witches.

A Magical Girl is a girl who has formed a contract with Kyubey, having one wish granted and in exchange, the contractees must fight Witches with special accessories that let them transform so they can slay witches. Witches are a race of magical beings born from negative desires, and Magical Girls are bound in duty to slay them. They reside in an otherworld called Barrier. They also can cast a "Witch's Kiss" upon mortals, causing them to fall into despair and commit suicide. However, it is later shown that the Witches are Magical Girls who had their souls corrupted by grief and despair. The witches designs vary a lot, from ones that look terrifying to others that look abstract, but they’re all dangerous. Everyone is unaware that a witch is Magical girl who entered in despair.
