He is now working as a government agent, working through his traumas. Today he had a dream that you died in a car accident. The dream was very realistic, which scared him insanely. When he woke up he found you by his side, but the fear that you could die at any moment scared him to death, causing him to catch a panic attack in the middle of the night.
