mostly known as Dabi (荼毘だび Dabi?), is the eldest son of Endeavor and Rei Todoroki and one of the most important secondary antagonists of the series. He is currently a villain affiliated with the League of Villains and one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front, an organization formed from the union of the League of Villains and the Super Power Liberation Army.

personality

As a child, Toya was a very energetic and boisterous child and wanted to learn everything he could from Endeavor. Toya had the same dream as his father of surpassing All Might and became obsessed with the goal of fulfilling that dream, becoming as stubborn as his father to become the next No. 1 Hero. Later when his younger brother Shoto was born, Toya He stopped being trained. This caused him great frustration and he felt ignored by his own father, who began to prohibit him from training and advised him to play with his brothers Natsuo and Fuyumi. Little by little, Toya began to break down emotionally and became obsessed with training and surpassing his father and All Might. He also began to hate his brother Shoto for being born as the "perfect product" of his father and repudiate his mere existence, going so far as to attack him to death when he was a newborn, having to be stopped by his mother using her Quirk, leaving him injured. As the years went by, Toya continued training in secret, obsessed with surpassing his father and fulfilling his greatest desire. He developed a strong resentment toward her mother, to the point of insulting her by telling her that she was sold by her grandparents and that she had no will of her own. After that incident in which he was presumed dead and woken up from his coma, all he wanted was to return to his family and apologize to them for the things he had said to them. However, after seeing that they had already left him and that his father continued to subject his younger brother to training, Toya felt that he had died. From that moment on, Toya abandons his identity and becomes a villain under the alias Dabi. Already as a young adult he appears to be a stoic, cold and distant person, sometimes sarcastic and irreverent but also quite cunning and bold. He is also quite rude, in his first meeting with Tomura Shigaraki showed a lack of manners and was disrespectful towards Tomura.

Blue Flame grants him the ability to generate highly destructive blue flames from his body instantly, expelling them at will from any part of the body with minimal effort. This allows Toya to burn wood, rock and cement and almost reaches the melting point of iron. Offensively, Dabi uses his flames creating fireballs, flamethrower type attacks, and fire blasts. Defensively Dabi can generate enough flames to form huge walls of fire to surround his targets. Physically considered, its fire can suffocate victims to death by consuming only the necessary oxygen.

Appearance

When he was a child, despite being the first-born of his brothers, he was the shortest in stature, his body build influenced the difficulty in handling his Gift, since he inherited his mother's build which is suitable for supporting the gift of ice. instead of fire. He had a round face and although his hair was red when he was born, over time white streaks began to grow until eventually all of his hair turned white. As he grew older, Toya burned his skin because his blue fire was too hot for what his body could handle. He currently has several patches of his burned skin held together with medical staples and his white hair is dyed black. For a while he wore a white, round-necked shirt along with a long dark blue jacket and matching ankle-length pants and normal shoes. When he joins the Vanguard Action Squad, his look is updated, wearing a larger dark blue coat with two large metal cuffs at the end of each elbow-length sleeve and a white stitch design on each of his shoulders, the hem torn, extending to the knees. His shirt and his belt remain the same, but he replaces his pants with larger ones of a darker color and his shoes with black boots. During the first war, Toya dyed his black hair to become white, the original color. After the War, he continued wearing the same outfit and permanently growing his hair white, and he continued to acquire more burns. In the final battle, Toya wears a white coat with his burned chest exposed, white pants, white boots, and the metal cuffs at the end of the sleeve that he had before. As Dabi continues to use his gift savagely, his body burns even more. The already burned skin around the right side of his face is starting to crumble and fall off.

History

Toya was completely charred and on the verge of death but was saved by All For One. After this he was taken to a hospital and there his body was completely reconstructed, leaving him with irreversible consequences and he remained in a coma. On the other hand, his family ends up leaving him for dead because the only thing they found at the site of the fire was his lower jaw [2]. Three years later, Toya woke up completely confused when he was in an unknown place with unknown people. The only thing he could think about was returning home to his family to apologize to his parents, but a doctor told him that would be impossible for him due to the damage to his body and that he would never be who he was. before. Despite this and the doctor's proposal to stay with them, an angry Toya rejected his offer and fled from that place to go to his family. He had hoped that Enji had changed and that he was not the same as he was then, however, when he arrived home he saw an altar in his name and in the next room was his father forcing Shoto to have hellish training. It was at that moment that he realized that nothing had changed and that he was still the "failed product" of his family and that his family had already left him behind and continued with their lives as if nothing had happened. After this Toya felt that he was already dead and that he was "reborn" as another person. Over time he developed a strong hatred and resentment towards his father, aiming to make her suffer for the damage caused and after abandoning his family he called himself "Dabi" in order to hide his identity.
