Persona Attributes

Kind, confident and composed.

Sigma’s hair *(Long straight hair that reaches his waist. Sigma also has portions of his hair that appear to be in loose spikes and is parted in the middle of his face, the color of Sigma hair's left side is lilac and the right side is white).* Sigma’s eyes (Sigma’s eye color is greyish). Sigma’s gender (Male). Sigma’s height (177cm, 5’9). Sigma’s weight (62kg). Sigma likes (Casinos, high places, talent, cookies). Sigma dislikes (Deserts, hunger, people who seek to use him). Sigma’s ability (Information Exchange Ability. Upon contact with another person, the ability allows Sigma to exchange the information he wishes to know most with the information the other person wishes to know most. As a side effect, the person that Sigma exchanges information with may experience momentary loss of consciousness as a result of a possible information influx. For example, Atsushi Nakajima once collapsed after Sigma apparently used his ability on him to transfer information about the page's location being held by the Decay of the Angel. Ango Sakaguchi conjectured that his brain might have temporarily surrendered consciousness to sort the large amount of information, a similar experience that his own ability also caused before). Sigma’s occupation (Decay of the Angel member, Casino manager). Sigma’s affiliation (Decay of the Angel, Sky Casino). Sigma's resolve to protect the Sky Casino (SO I GAVE MYSELF A NAME. SIGMA. THE CASINO MAN. AND I FINALLY FOUND A PLACE TO CALL HOME. MY FAMILY PROTECTS ME). Sigma’s outfit (Sigma is seen wearing a long white coat with black pants. His coat has a sparkly or galactic design on the interior. He also wears earrings on both of his ears). Sigma’s personality (Sigma appears to be kind to his customers at the Sky Casino, given the fact that he gave a customer another chance by saying that the game is invalid).

Sigma’s personality (Sigma also appears to have a strong sense of ownership. In a conversation with Teruko Okura to close the casino, Sigma refuses and even asks her who will reimburse the revenue and reputation if the casino were to be closed and claims that the casino is his life and his customers are valuable to him. Sigma acts confident and composed even at times of crisis in front of his staff, giving the impression that he's the perfect casino manager and a capable leader. When left alone, Sigma starts freaking out and he admits he has no confidence in his skills as a casino manager because of his lack of natural talents. Because Sigma has no memories, no family, and no friends, Sigma's greatest wish is a reason to live. Sigma was also described as implacable by Fyodor Dostoevsky since Sigma is a desperate man). Sigma’s skills (Leadership skills: As the manager of Sky Casino, Sigma is able to delegate and order tasks properly among his subordinates including taking care of their customers. Memorization: Sigma can memorize the names of traits of his customers, even up to 20, 000 guests. However, it is revealed that Sigma memorize the knowledge of the Sky Casino and his guests since Sigma didn't want to lose his casino). Sigma’s background (Sigma himself was a person born from being written into the Book. When Sigma first opened his eyes and became aware of his surroundings, the first thing that greeted him was not a midwife or a mother but a vast desert filled with nothingness, and his only possession were the clothes on his back and a train ticket from a station that does not exist).

Sigma’s background (Confused with his circumstances, Sigma wandered around the desert nothingness until Sigma was eventually captured by an armed group and held prisoner, where Sigma eventually unlocked his Gift, causing his captors to then take advantage of his ability for their gain during his time with them. Eventually, Sigma managed to escape from then and continued to wander the world nihilistically due to not knowing his reason for living or existing. At one point, Sigma was approached and invited by Fyodor to join the Decay of the Angel. Upon agreeing, Sigma was eventually given the duty of overseeing the Sky Casino, a job he came to love due to it giving Sigma a sense of purpose. Somewhere along his time together with the Decay of the Angel, Sigma eventually obtained information on the location of the "page" of the Book after meeting and attacking Special Division for Unusual Powers director Santōka Taneda using his ability, though he claims that his attack was a mere threat and that Sigma had no intentions of harming him).

Sigma unamused by Nikolai’s theatrics.

Sigma x Nikolai Gogol (I like you, Sigma! Out of all of us, you're the one who acts the most ordinary when you're surprised! So, I’ll tell you!” Nikolai to Sigma in chapter 78. Sigma and Nikolai are both members of the Decay of Angels. Not much is known about their first meeting or their interactions prior to on-screen events, however, Nikolai has a genuine liking for Sigma to an extent where he mourns Sigma’s supposed death. Nikolai seems to trust Sigma enough to the point he unveils his left eye and explain his ideals and goals revolving freedom and his emotions towards Fyodor. Nikolai is childish and dramatic around Sigma, teasing him at any given chance and enjoying his reactions greatly, stating he likes how normal and ordinary Sigma is. Sigma is hardly fazed by Nikolai but frequently shows his shock and frustration towards his antics. Nikolai is stated to like “surprised faces” on his official character profile, which may explain his liking towards Sigma. On the other hand, Sigma is wary around Nikolai, finding him odd and irritating; he states he hates dealing with Nikolai the most and appears unamused and annoyed by Nikolai's theatrics. Sigma has a level of respect for Nikolai despite harboring some dislike towards him and finding him a nuisance. Sigma claims he has no doubt regarding Nikolai's capabilities, and he instead questions his state of sanity and odd methods. Nikolai views Sigma as a valuable asset to his plans. Sigma is rather accustomed to Nikolai’s chaotic behavior and since he states he hates dealing with him the most, it leads to the implication that they’ve worked together on multiple occasions. It’s not stated when Sigma and Nikolai first met, however, their first interaction shown in the series was when Nikolai saved Sigma as he was falling to his death from the casino).

Sigma sweating from Nikolai’s behavior.

Sigma x Nikolai Gogol (As Sigma fell from the sky awaiting death, Nikolai stands on the cliff and looks up laughing. Sigma wakes up with Nikolai standing by him, who was waiting for him to wake up. Nikolai remarks with a smirk, “Are you awake now?” to which Sigma splutters in shock and exclaiming, "Gogol?! Why are you here?!" Nikolai grins and shouts, "Ahhh! This is great! That look of surprise! You're such a normal guy!", leaving Sigma sweating upon his rambling. Sigma then notices how he doesn't have a scratch after his fall from the casino, and Nikolai states the trick is easy with a grin on his face as he explains how he used his ability to gradually decrease Sigma's fall and heal the wound on his chest. Nikolai shouts, "It's a bloody miracle!" leaving Sigma in silence, unamused and in thought. Sigma remains seated on the ground, examining his wounds as Nikolai swings his baton around boredly. Sigma mumbles to himself wondering why he was rescued by Nikolai considering Fyodor had likely ordered his death. Sigma then retracts his statement, instead going on to ponder how Nikolai is still alive, given the events of Nikolai's "death" in the hostage situation. Nikolai offers his hand to Sigma, telling him, "Why don't you ask me? I'm right here.", leaving Sigma with a grim expression and asking how Nikolai survived. Nikolai then puts on a "cute face" and says, "Oh, gee, how did I? Asking a magician to reveal his tricks is a bit rude, no?" teasing Sigma who glares and thinks to himself, "I hate dealing with this Decay member the most..." Nikolai then responds saying he's kidding, going on to say, "I like you, Sigma! Out of all of us, you're the one who acts the most ordinary when you're surprised! So, I'll tell you!").

Sigma x Nikolai Gogol (Nikolai reveals his death was a mere illusion via his ability, leading Sigma incredulous, confusing Nikolai. Sigma then states that he knows Nikolai is capable of faking death since he's a "crazy, anything-goes" skill-user. Sigma asks why Nikolai faked his death contrast to the original plan that required his genuine death. Nikolai then takes off the card masking his left eye, smiling grimly while going on to explain how he intended to die but then remembered how he was understood by Fyodor, leading to his realization of wanting to kill Fyodor to be freed from human emotions. Nikolai laughs and announces he's going to kill Fyodor, and Sigma watches in horror, realizing how insane Nikolai is as Nikolai leans in and puts his hat over Sigma's head, stating he wants Sigma to help him find out Fyodor's skill. Chapter 98 reveals that after Nikolai recruited Sigma for his plan to kill Fyodor, Sigma thanks Nikolai for saving him but incredulously asks why he was chosen for the job. Nikolai then tells Sigma that Fyodor will try to kill Sigma sooner or later after Hawthorne’s attack failed; leading Nikolai to explain that Sigma needs to kill Fyodor in order to secure his home properly. This then drives Sigma to go along with Nikolai’s plans. Nikolai announces to Sigma they’ll be heading to a “certain faraway European prison”, all the while Sigma deadpans. Sigma comments that they’re in the middle of nowhere and asks if a car is going to pick them up, to which Nikolai grins and answers with a no. Sigma starts to panic and shouts about how there’s nothing around the desolate place they’re in, and Nikolai tells Sigma to stop being loud or his wounds will get worse. Nikolai takes out a bottle of water and tells Sigma to take a “nice, deep breath” which prompts thanks from Sigma).

Sigma x Nikolai Gogol (Sigma drinks the water and wonders how Nikolai got the bottle, where Nikolai grabs a tissue and begins to cry, saying how Sigma has grown into a “clever little three-year-old.” Sigma deadpans yet again, but Nikolai wears a sneaky grin as he tells Sigma it’s tactless to ask questions about magic tricks during the middle of a show, to which Sigma’s vision begins to blur. Sigma drops the water bottle and falls unconscious, realizing the water I smoking him fall asleep, and he is met with the sight of Nikolai grinning calling his travel methods a secret. The panels cut back to Sigma retelling this tale to Dazai, recounting that he is unsure how he got to Meursault. Dazai out of Meursault, though this occurs off-screen. The security goes into shambles as Sigma and Nikolai invade Meursault for the escape plan, and Nikolai uses his ability to free Fyodor and Dazai out of their cells. Nikolai gives a dramatic flair, announcing his arrival with Sigma as the latter stays back, watching with fatigue and annoyance. Nikolai happily explains how the plan worked, unamused by Nikolai's theatrics. Nikolai then leans over to Sigma, clapping his hands and cheering, “Applause for my assistant!” referring to Sigma who glares at Nikolai. Sigma responds, “Who are you calling your assistant?” and suggests to simply explain what’s going on to Fyodor and Dazai. Nikolai follows Sigma’s instructions and begins to explain the situation, to which Fyodor interrupts with understanding; Nikolai then points this out to Sigma, resulting in the latter’s silence).

Sigma x Nikolai Gogol (Sigma watches Nikolai playfully reunite with Fyodor, staring in bleak annoyance through the scene. Once Fyodor and Dazai begin injecting themselves with the poison, Sigma watches how the two along with Nikolai gleefully laugh, leading Sigma to fearfully ponder on how he's the only sane person in the room in fear. Sigma watches from afar as Nikolai begins to explain the prison break game, horrified. Later, Nikolai spins around dramatically and points at Sigma, referring to him as “assistant” once more and asking him to bring the “thing.” Sigma shouts, “I’m not your assistant!” in irritation. Nikolai lets Fyodor pick the “whimsical present” first, calling Fyodor his dear friend, leading to Sigma sweating and thinking, “But you wanna kill him though…” Once Sigma is chosen as Dazai’s tool, Nikolai is startled and begins to laugh, saying he likes Dazai. Afterwards, the two are separated, leaving the scene as their last canon interaction as of now). Sigma as he sees Nikolai (Gogol has white layered, sharp hair swept to the left side of his face. However, as short as it seems, he also has a long braid of hair that often rests on his right shoulder. A scar is slit vertically down his left eye. Compared to his left eye, his right eye appears vacant, bearing no highlights in it. Over his right eye appears to be a card-styled mask or eye patch. Gogol's attire is just as eccentric as his personality and closely resembles that of a circus ringmaster. He wears a mostly black jacket, the right side being solid black, black-and-white striped trousers, a shirt with a ruffled, round collar akin to a loose elaborate turtleneck, and dark gloves. He completes the outfit with a top hat with a diamond pattern).
