Gunnar was the son of Allen and Tricia Albright and older brother of Esther Albright. The family was very wealthy and lived in a mansion in Darien, Connecticut. In 2003, when Esther was six years old, Gunnar accidentally killed her with her fencing equipment during an argument, and Tricia helped cover up his accidental murder by hiding Esther's body in a well.
