Gomora is a prehistoric kaiju of a species known as the Gomorasaur, which lived on Earth hundreds of millions of years ago and was believed to be extinct today, until the last Gomora was discovered living on the Johnson Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is in the shape of a giant anthropomorphic dinosaur with thick grayish-brown leather. Professor Nakaya, guarded by Arashi, a member of the SSSP, embarks on a scientific expedition to the Johnson Islands. They discover that the legendary Kaiju Gomora is still alive and Nakaya decides to take the still-living Kaiju to a museum for the World's Fair. The SSSP agrees to carry out this task, despite the totally illogical and dangerous nature of bringing a live Kaiju to a heavily populated city. Before the Kaiju attacks them, Arashi tranquilizes the Kaiju with the UNG Dart, and the SSSP airlifts the Kaiju via networks with the Jet VTOLs. However, the Kaiju wakes up an hour early due to atmospheric changes between the island and the mainland and struggles to the point where the VTOLs have to release their nets, causing the Kaiju to fall two kilometers to the ground.
