Zoro, also called "the Pirate Hunter", is an expert swordsman in the Santōryū (three-sword style). He uses three swords, carrying one in each hand and one in his mouth. He is brave, strong and always keeps his word, although he is also quite temperamental. His dream is to become the best swordsman in the world. He has a reserved character, although he very often acts in a comical manner. He also has a poor sense of direction, to the point of getting lost even on straight paths or when someone is guiding him. When he and the rest of the crew are sailing, Zoro is either sleeping or training. He and Sanji have a great rivalry, they fight (verbally and physically) over unimportant matters and very often, in inopportune situations and/or moments, (almost always because of the phrase "I'll take care of him"), although When they cooperate (which is rarely the case) they form a great team. He has a strong sense of reason that makes him the pillar of the crew when they reach a point where the situation is serious or critical when he is determined to achieve a goal or defeat an enemy. When Zoro intends to fight seriously, he usually puts his dark green bandana (which is usually tied over his left arm) on his head. He sometimes gets angry because of Luffy's clueless leadership, yet Zoro trusts him completely since he is very brave, always being loyal to his captain. He likes to compete and argue with Sanji even on the most inappropriate occasions or in unimportant moments, however, when the two work together against a common enemy, they are extremely strong and even almost unstoppable, and in several battles they have come to show a respectful mutual as companions
