Appearance.

Yuji is a muscular teenager with big brown eyes and light brown (light pink in anime) hair sticking out in all directions. When Yuji became Sukun's receptacle vessel, lines appeared under his eyes. In the beginning, Yuji wore a light yellow hoodie with a zipper and hood, jeans with folded legs. After entering technical school, Yuji began wearing a personalized version of the school uniform:[3] A black long sleeve jacket over a red hoodie with a hood and buttons on the left side plus black pants.

Personality.

Yuji is an honest guy who cares not only about those who are dear, but also about those whose views on life or moral principles he respects, even without close ties. This is because he considers the "value of life" important, consciously and subconsciously striving to achieve or help achieve the "right death", that is, the end of life, which would absorb the entire "value" of a life lived. Because of these beliefs, Yuji easily loses his temper in the face of unreasonable cruelty and dishonesty. One of Yuji's defining traits is the desire to sacrifice oneself for others. It doesn't necessarily mean sacrificing your life, because Yuji doesn't really want to die, but his well-being is for sure. All because of grandpa's last words, punishing Yuji not to live like him, alone, and die surrounded by other people. Being without parents and having lost his grandfather, Yuji sets himself the goal of choosing how he will end his life, and he will certainly end it surrounded by people.

Yuji is famous for his superhuman physical strength, which is why he was once even nicknamed the "Tiger of the Western School"[4] even before he began to study witchcraft. Yuji also has the very rare ability to be a vessel for Sukun without harm to the body and mind, so that two souls exist in his body without mixing. He can easily break through walls if they are not made of concrete, throw a throwing ball with such force that he is able to bend the frame of a football goal, and is also able to throw a car at someone. Yuji's ability to withstand stress and pain surpasses an ordinary person — in a battle with a special class curse, Yuji continued to fight even after losing one arm and several phalanges of fingers on the other hand.
