Throughout the film, Diane displays many interesting personality traits. In the eyes of the public, she has taken on her role as a charismatic government determined to maintain peace with great pride and enthusiasm, true to her change of heart from her past life of crime. On the other hand, she is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat, stealth, agility, gadgets, and much more, which she has maintained without any notable flaws over the years, as shown by her jailbreak stunt. With these attributes combined, she is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent characters in the entire film. However, even she is not without her flaws. While it can be strongly assumed that her outlook on crime has indeed changed as advertised, it seems that she has retained a sliver of pride in her previous status as the world's greatest villain, to the point where she seems confident that she has the top 100% ranking and that they will fail in their heist of the Golden Dolphin, the security of which she herself oversaw. While many of her criticisms of the Bad Guys were correct, including that they would "make it personal" by going after the coveted prize, she still displayed genuine shock and disappointment at the disappearance of the Golden Dolphin, which was a huge blow to her own confidence, especially since the only reason they were ultimately caught was because Wolf had unintentionally drawn attention to himself rather than her security team preventing the heist in the first place. This is further suggested by his animosity towards Wolf's ruse and his initial skepticism of Marmalade's plan. Despite her frustrations, she still expresses her hope for reform and gives the villains a chance when Wolf shows that he was actually listening to her earlier that night.
