Appearance
Garraka is a tall, slender, skinny demonic creature with bright blue eyes, two long ram-like horns and clawed hands. He is also abnormally tall, around 13 feet. Personality Garraka is an extremely powerful, cunning, dangerous and ruthless Class 7 apocalyptic deity who intends to cast the world in a deadly winter curse called the Death Chill while at the same time, he also plans to destroy the Earth and bring humanity to extinction with the help of a spirit named Melody and in return, he will help her ascend to the afterlife. He is depicted as a malevolent and sadistic being from start to finish, though this was eventually what led to his defeat thanks to the Ghostbusters and their allies foiling his plans with the help of Melody, who betrayed him after learning that Garraka never planned to help her at all. It is unknown whether or not he was originally malevolent, since while destructive, he was merely obeying the will of the man who summoned him. After the King betrayed him, he was extremely vengeful, yet had rage that extended beyond the one person that betrayed him; the fact he was planning to exterminate all life in retaliation indicates that he is irrational and reacts disproportionately, as well as unfairly. His planned global extinction suggests that betrayal or not, he was likely always evil. While he has powers that enable him to dominate the minds of ghosts, he also seem to choose psychological manipulation; this decision appears to show that even without his powers he is able to exploit and manipulate ghosts. He is also cruel to living and dead, as when he revealed that he was never going to fulfill Melody's dream, he did it in mocking, condescending tone, while also insulting her gullibility, likewise sarcastically offering gratitude to Phoebe in a manner to make her suffer on the guilt of allowing his escape.

What he did in Ghostbusters : Frozen Empire
In 1904, the Manhattan Adventurers' Society came into possession of the orb that served as Garraka's prison; they foolishly enacted a ritual that allowed Garraka to freeze them all to death, but his escape was stopped by a descendant and inheritor of the Firemasters. In 2024, Nadeem, grandson of the Firemaster from 1904, inherited the apartment of his recently deceased grandmother, who was also a Firemaster; however, due to her lack of trust in him and/or his apathetic lazy nature, he wasn't aware of his heritage. He discovered the brass chamber in which his grandmother kept her armour and the orb; Nadeem took many of her possessions to sell, one of which was the orb. Nadeem took the orb to Ray Stantz's supernatural store, who measures its PKE levels, provoking it to unleash a psychic wave of energy, which damages the ecto-containment unit – dangerously near capacity – at the Ghostbusters' firehouse headquarters. Nadeem sells the orb for $50. Freed from the brass chamber, Garraka was able to exert some influence on the outside world. While his true power and freedom were still imprisoned, he was able to use his influence on spirits to manipulate events to enact his liberation. Meanwhile, Phoebe Spengler, feeling isolated due to the move to New York, and upset at Mayor Walter Peck's order that because she is under 18 she is prevented from busting ghosts, befriends a ghost at the chess park called Melody; they bond over feeling like outcasts, while Phoebe's curiosity drives her to ask Melody about trappings of being a spirit. Melody bemoans that she misses her family, hoping to see them again on the other side, but doesn't know how to move on.
Pt. 2
To further study the orb, Ray gives it to Winston, whose entrepreneurial work had granted him a fortune, and one of his investments is in the research of ghosts and spectral phenomena. Winston's associate, Dr. Lars Pinfield, uses an experimental extraction device, which is aimed at harnessing spiritual energy, Pinfield finds he cannot extract anything from the orb. To learn more its origins, he, Trevor and Lucky, visit Nadeem's apartment, within they learn of the brass chamber that had held the orb. Nadeem is brought back to the firehouse where Peter Venkmen begins psychic tests on him; while Peter seems to be mocking Nadeem, his tests end up revealing that Nadeem has latent pyrokinetic powers. Phoebe and her brother, Trevor, receive a call about a ghost at a diner; despite the ban, she joins her brother on the removal. At the diner, it turns out to be Melody. Phoebe aims her proton pack but is reluctant to fire; after Melody leaves, she blasts the window, either out of confusion or wanting to create the appearance of attempted busting. Phoebe follows Melody, who appears in the firehouse headquarters; Phoebe explains she wouldn't have busted her, since Melody is different. Melody jokes but sadly about the irony of her being a ghost visiting the Ghostbusters' headquarters. Phoebe and Melody have fun together, parting ways in the street. Alone, Melody is confronted by the essence of Garraka; he chides her for bonding, reminding her of the purpose for which she was sent. Melody begs that he not use Phoebe, but Garraka counters that he won't fulfill the bargain unless Melody obeys, which she miserably acquiesces.
Pt. 3
The orb unleashed a disruption throughout Winston's lab, which deactivated containment barriers for multiple ghosts held like zoo exhibits; none appear to escape, however, one entity, known as the Possessor (which can possess and manipulate any inanimate object) falls under Garraka's control, thus hides in the bag with the orb. Ray, accompanied by Phoebe and Podcast, visit Dr. Hubert Wartzki, a research librarian at the New York Public Library, for background on the orb. It's here that they learn the orb was designed by a group of sorcerers called the Firemasters to imprison Garraka, a demonic god who sought to conquer the world with his power to control ghosts, and feeding on negative emotions to lower temperatures to absolute zero. They learn Nadeem's grandmother was a descendant of the group, who was forced to prevent Garraka from escaping the orb in July 1904 in a ritual accidentally conducted by members of the Manhattan Adventurers' Society, whom Garraka froze to death. The orb's confinement by her was due to Garraka being vulnerable to brass along with fire. Wartzki recovers recordings of the Adventurers' ritual, playing it to Ray, Phoebe, and Podcast. Upon its playing, the Possessor reveals itself, possessing the recording, "wears" a garbage bag, then flying it through the library, which the trio of Ghostbusters chase. Outside, they find the garbage bag, but the Possessor has jumped into one of the lion statues. The living statue attacks the group, until Ray directs Phoebe to activate a proton pack in his motorcycle, which explodes the stone lion, and the Possessor flees.
Pt.4
Due to Phoebe violating her ban, Mayor Peck uses the incident as an excuse to shutdown the Ghostbusters. Distraught, she runs away. Phoebe meets with Melody, and in an attempt to connect with her ghost friend better, takes her to Winston's lab. Phoebe uses the spiritual extractor - which can work on humans for 2 minutes - to extract her soul, so she can physically interact with Melody. However, at this point, Phoebe learns that Melody was working for Garraka as the demonic god is able to use his powers over ghosts to force Phoebe's spirit - which also controls her body - to utter the chant that will unlock his orb prison, since the key wasn't the recordings, rather a living human's voice. Garraka thanks Phoebe with a taunt, then reveals he never intended to honour Melody's deal. Garraka unleashes the Death Chill upon the city, causing massive icicles to pierce through buildings and vehicles; he visits a vape shop, asking the owner if he is "the Firemaster" as the store name suggests, which the owner rudely confirms, then is frozen to death. Garraka enters Nadeem's empty apartment, but enters the brass chamber to retrieve his horns, which he attaches to the sides of his head from whence they came, thus his full power is restored.
Pt. 5
The Ghostbusters realise that Garraka plans to break open the firehouse's containment unit, recruiting the decades worth of ghosts into his new army. The Ghostbusters, including Nadeem who has embraced though not perfected his Firemaster inheritance, prepare the firehouse for Garrak's assault. Phoebe, knowing Garraka's weakness to brass, reconfigures her proton pack with a brass-like alloy to strengthen it. Dr. Lars and Trevor are left to deal with the Possessor upstairs. Throughout the film, Trevor has had encounters with Slimer that always ended in his sliming, however, when the Possessor inhabits a pizza, Slimer consumes it, thus defeating the Possessor. The remaining Ghostbusters, from the new roster, and surviving old (even Janine), fire proton packs and updated ghost-hunting weaponry at Garraka, but he impossibly freezes the energy beams until blocking the weapons from firing. Most of the team are then frozen in place; Phoebe's brass-alloy proton pack seems to hurt Garraka at first, yet he similarly turns the stream to ice. Garraka causes fissures in the container unit, with multiple low-level ghosts escaping into the city, but the bigger ones soon to follow.
Pt. 6
However, Melody helps Nadeem achieve the potential of his powers, thereby he moves a blaze to encase Garraka in fire. Phoebe also resumes firing, and the remaining team are thawed, so add to the attack, all of which weakens Garraka. Ray is able to trap the god by utilizing the ruptured containment unit, with the entity's sheer psychic mass creating a vacuum that seals the container. Leaving the demonic deity trapped once again, but in a sturdier prison. Melody apologises for her deception to Phoebe, noting that in spite of it their friendship was real; the ghost girl reconciles with Phoebe, before departing for the afterlife to reunite with her family. As the city thaws, the Ghostbusters are hailed as heroes, with Peck forced to support the team and reinstate the team and also Phoebe. The Ghostbusters, delighted with this, then begin a pursuit of the escaped ghosts across New York City.
