history
In the years before Slipknot formed, a state of shifting band membership existed throughout the heavy metal scene in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1991, the biggest heavy metal band in Des Moines was Atomic Opera, with Jim Root on guitar.[7] Drummer Joey Jordison founded a thrash metal band called Modifidious, playing at a club called Runway. Modifidious opened for Atomic Opera on December 1, 1991, at the Runway, after which their guitarist left for the more successful Atomic Opera. Jordison replaced him with local guitarist Craig Jones.[8] Drummer Shawn Crahan formed another Des Moines band called Heads on the Wall, playing funk metal cover songs at clubs and releasing a demo tape in July 1992. A fourth Des Moines band called Vexx played death metal with Anders Colsefni on drums, Paul Gray on bass, and Josh Brainard on guitar and vocals. Colsefni later took over vocal duties, but Vexx never recorded. During this time, Crahan often went to the Runway on Sundays when the club opened to all ages, where he met other young musicians with whom he could jam. By March 1993, Crahan was jamming with vocalist Colsefni, bassist Gray and guitarist Patrick Neuwirth, writing and playing songs in Gray's basement, discussing possible band names, but never making a final decision. One of the songs they recorded was titled "Slipknot". The word on the second recording’s spine was "Painface", which Colsefni later used to name his band Painface.

Corey's personality type
Corey Taylor, as an INTP tends to prefer spending time alone, reflecting on ideas or difficulties. They may seem absorbed in their thoughts, oblivious to their surroundings. This personality type is attracted to the mysteries and secrets of life. INTPs are self-sufficient and like to work alone. They are not afraid of change and are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to achieve things. They are comfortable being called outsiders, inspiring people to be authentic to themselves, regardless of whether others accept them or not. They like quirky conversations. When forming new friendships, they value intellectual depth. Some have called them "Sherlock Holmes" because they enjoy investigating people and patterns of life events. Nothing compares to the endless quest to understand the universe and human nature. Geniuses feel more connected and calm when they are in the company of strange souls who have an undeniable sense and love of wisdom. Although showing affection is not their strong point, they seek to demonstrate their care by supporting others in solving their problems and offering reasonable solutions.

Masks During his time with Slipknot, Sid's mask has been, for the most part, based on gas masks. During the tours for 'Slipknot' and 'Iowa', Sid wore various different types of gas masks, including ones that had been customized to resemble skulls. During the 'Volume Three: The Subliminal Verses' tour, Sid grew his hair long and began to wear various masks that simply resembled skulls, shying away from the gas-mask concept. In promotional photos for 'All Hope is Gone' and during the tour for the album, Sid changed his mask again, this time to resemble a robot. He once again cut his hair short and dyed it red. The eyebrows of the mask are able to be controlled by Sid, allowing him to make various expressions. After the death of bassist Paul Gray in 2010, and during the subsequent 'Memorial World Tour', Sid, in keeping with the rest of the band, reverted back to his old mask and red jumpsuit, worn during the self-titled album tour, as a tribute to Gray. In 2013, Sid announced a new mask. He debuted his mask over the weekend at Ozzfest Japan in Tokyo.
Craig Jones
Jones was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He previously played in various local extreme metal bands, including Modifidious, before joining Slipknot in February 1996. He was the replacement for the band's original guitarist, Donnie Steele, who left during the recording of their first album, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. Because the band was almost completed with the album, he did not contribute to it, but he did receive credit for its sleeve concept and graphics in the liner notes. Before the year was over, Jones had been replaced by guitarist Mick Thomson, and he began to assume his role as the band's sampler and keyboardist.
Personality (general)
Hard, serious, introverted, Sid can be silly sometimes and very charismatic, Corey loves jokes, they have their own personalyties, most of them are blonde or have dark hair like Joey, they love jokes and they can be flirty of they are confident enough and make dirty jokes.
