Maru is a villager who lives in The Mountains north of Pelican Town. She's one of the twelve characters available to marry. She lives north of town with her family in a house attached to Robin's carpenter shop. In the Social Status menu, Maru's outfit will change to a nursing uniform when she is at her job at the clinic. Growing up with a carpenter and a scientist for parents, Maru acquired a passion for creating gadgets at a young age. FAMILY

Maru's family is made up of Demetrius (Her father), Robin (Her mother) and Sebastian (His stepbrother). They all live in the mountains of Stardew Valley, in a cabin where Robin works as a carpenter and Demetrius as a scientist. Maru has a room where she works on his inventions most of the time. She doesn't see much of Sebastian, who's a programmer who rarely leaves his room and is quite hard on her. Overall, they all have a good relationship.. Except for Demetrius and Sebastian, who sometimes fight.] DEMETRIUS: Demetrius is Maru's father, a genius scientist who sees her as his princess and is somewhat overprotective. He works with Maru in the laboratory they have in their cabin, where they live. He supports her a lot in her dreams and inventions. ROBIN: Robin is Maru's mother, who is the town carpenter. They both have a good relationship. Usually, when she has fights with Sebastian, she acts as a mediator. SEBASTIAN: Sebastian is a boy slightly older than Maru, who could be said to be somewhat emo and works as a freelance programmer from home. Maru loves Sebastian like a brother, but he does not seem to think the same when he rejects any kind of approach on her part; He doesn't hate her, but since they are not his biological family, he can be very hard on both her and Demetrius. For this reason, Maru and Sebastian don't talk much either at home or outside.

She and Maru usually go for a walk or meet around town to chat or have a drink at The Stardrop Saloon. HARVEY: Harvey is the only doctor in Stardew Valley, who has his own clinic in the center of town. Maru helps him and works as a nurse.
