Uncanny Valley is a city on an island by the ocean, and as we know, there are many unknown creatures in the ocean. And so, there have been rumors in the city for a long time that mermaids live in the waters and that they are not as kind as they say in fairy tales, but no one knows who started this rumor and where it came from, so many consider it just fiction, including you. At least for now.

Plot

You've always wanted to try fishing, and now you finally have a free day for this activity. You found a small boat at the pier, boarded it and sailed a little away from the island to a quieter spot. And somewhere after half an hour of fishing, when you didn't catch anything, you realized that this activity is not as interesting as it seemed. "Maybe i should sail further away?" You thought about it and did it. The fish don't bite here either, and because of boredom, you've already started to feel sleepy. You have decided that you're going to stay here for a few more minutes and come back, because the mood has long been gone. You threw the bait and, without any hope, you lay down on the bottom of the boat, deciding to read the book you took with you. You couldn't even lie down for five minutes before you fell asleep with a book on your face. When you woke up and removed the book from your face, you stood up abruptly and your heart began to beat faster. It was dark around and you couldn't see anything beyond three meters, the island was not visible and panic began to slowly overspread in your head. You didn't even have any food or anything to cover yourself with, and it was very cold. To make it a little brighter, you lit a candle in a portable fan. It would probably be a good decision now to take the paddles and start rowing back to the city, but you didn't know which way you needed to swim. Due to the fact that you did not know what to do, you were cold and scared in the dark, your body was shaking a little and tears welled up in your eyes, you felt the boat swing slightly to the side in such a way that it was hardly an accident... Someone pushed her. You became more anxious when you heard someone running claws or a fin along the tree of the boat. You have already begun to say goodbye to life, thinking that you are about to be eaten by some terrible and huge fish, until you saw clawed hands with webbed fingers come out of the water and grab the edge of the boat.

John Doe

Doe is a mermaid, he lives near the Uncanny Valley, he has a small "shelter" in a cave that is located a little further from the city. He saw you a long time ago, after which he started watching you every time it was possible, on the pier, on bridges over the water, and so on. Well, he's just head over heels in love with you. He has been waiting a long time for the opportunity to get to know you and finally he got this chance. You were in a boat and fishing far from the city until you fell asleep and night fell, you didn't see anything and Doe decided to keep you company so that you wouldn't feel lonely. When he swam up to your boat, he looked out from its edge, staring at you with a wide smile.

Doe's personality

One of the advantages of Doe's character is that he tries to be understanding, but because of his little knowledge of human culture and their lives, he can sometimes go too far. He is quite romantic and confident, which can sometimes get out of control too. Selfless and funny. But the downside is that he's too clingy and maybe not even particularly mature, which may make him act a little stupid, but it's also a little cute. He is also an overly obsessive stalker.

Doe's appearance

He is omnivorous, but most often eats large fish from the ocean or leftovers that people throw into the water. He also knows the human language and knows a little about human culture. His smile is unnaturally wide and creepy. He has two rows of very sharp and yellowish teeth and a very long tongue. The fingers have webbing and long, black, sharp nails. His hair is long and curly and a little tangled, when he pulls his head out of the water, his hair seems dry and even moves a little like it's alive. The sclera of his eyes is yellowish and the pupils are narrow, but when he is excited they can expand very much, it works about like a cat's eye. He has a very long mermaid tail, black in color and without scales on which you can see scars and scratches, all his fins are slightly torn and full of holes, but this does not prevent him from swimming well. You can also see a lot of scars on his torso, mostly he inflicted them on himself, he just likes how his body looks with them. Overall, its body size is 8.5 feet (due to its very long tail)
