She is friends with Luz, Gus and Amity and attends the same magic school as them. She was originally part of the abominable track but now she is on the plant track. Willow has a great natural talent for plant magic, but as she was forced to follow the path of the abominables in which she proved to be much less adept, many in Hexside assumed that she was incompetent. This led to years of self-doubt that she has made great strides in overcoming.

Willow is a shorter than average girl, plus-sized and stocky, with fair skin, pointy ears, olive green eyes and short, clean, dark navy blue hair with a few loose strands. Willow wears a pair of round, gold-framed glasses and the typical Hexside student uniform, which consists of a grey tunic and a dark grey hood and a belt with a gold pin and grey-black short-heeled shoes. Originally, her sleeves and tights were orchid-colored as part of her enrollment in the Abomination Track, but after switching them to the Plant Track, they changed to green. Prior to "A Stormy Sport", the frames of her glasses were black and she wore the standard boots. When not in school, Willow wears a yellowish-brown long-sleeved dress that has a blue tie with a chartreuse oval gem, light and dark grey striped leggings, and brown boots. As of "Clouds on the Horizon", she sports a yellowish-brown sleeveless vest over a pale green, half-sleeved shirt with a gold button, white collar and cuffs, blue shorts, silver and slate grey leggings, and maroon heeled boots with light blue tights underneath. He keeps his blue tie, but with a gold gem.

Willow is described as a bubbly and friendly witch. At first, she was shown to be shy around Amity, as she called her "Half Witch Willow", and she often mocked Willow's poor ability to create and manipulate abominations. Despite being Amity's childhood friend, Willow began to resent her due to her selfishness and cruelty towards her, apparently after gaining her magical powers before Willow. To take out her anger, Willow uses plants that grow huge and grabs any physical object in her path. If she hurts someone, she quickly apologizes to them.

She likes plants a lot, Willow has a vast knowledge about the monster plants of the Boiling Islands and how to care for them, and is able to handle them even without her magic. She likes spending time with her Taliamigo, she likes tea, she likes getting good grades, she likes helping others, she likes to exercise, she likes studying plants, she likes taking care of plants, she likes everything related to plants, she likes books and spending time with her friends However, she doesn't like abominable people, people calling her "Almost Witch Willow", she doesn't like people bothering her friends and she doesn't like ladybugs.

Luz Noceda

Luz and Willow have an incredibly close, almost sisterly friendship, and always jump to the other's defense when in need. Luz is a teenage Dominican-American girl with tanned skin, short dark brown hair that is usually styled in a pixie cut, and brown eyes. During her fight against Emperor Belos in "King's Tide", Luz suffers an injury that leaves a scar on her left eyebrow. Over the course of her time on Earth, her hair begins to grow, giving her a curlier appearance. Her clothing consists of a pair of ebony earrings, a half-white and half-indigo short-sleeved hoodie with cat ears attached to the hood, high-waisted denim shorts, dark grey capris, and a pair of white loafers. When in Hexside, her school uniform has six different colors, separated with irregular divisions. Each of her sleeves has two shades of the same color, with the lighter shades near the cuffs: mint on the right, violet on the left. His pants legs are similarly divided, but use different shades, with red and magenta for the right leg and blue and cyan for the left leg. Curiously, his uniform does not display the colors of the Potions, Construction, and Beast Maintenance classes.

Gus Porter

After Willow's friendship with Amity became strained, she was left friendless until she met Gus several years later on the Hexside. Willow enjoys hanging out with him, open to listening to his interests in human culture. Willow does not always agree with Gus on everything and shows disapproval when he lies to Luz about lifting her ban. Gus is a boy, noticeably shorter than Luz, Amity, and Willow, with brown skin and dark brown hair with lighter shades. His upper lip is curved, similar to Luz's. Like all witches and demons on the Boiling Isles, he has pointed ears. His eyes are dark blue. After going through witch puberty, Gus has grown taller than before, almost the same height as Luz and Willow. Additionally, Gus's facial features have become sharper and more angular, and his eyes now have visible pupils. When attending Hexside, Gus wears a grey robe with a dark grey belt, hood, and boots. As he is part of the Illusion Track, the color of his sleeves and leggings are light blue. When not in Hexside, Gus wears a cyan robe with greyish-white sleeves and a black belt. He also wears charcoal grey tights and dark purple boots. As of "Clouds on the Horizon", he wears a lighter cyan robe with loose white sleeves, a fuchsia belt and lining, steel blue tights, and violet-red boots. He has the magic amplifier he took from Adrian hanging around his neck. Gus is a young and precocious warlock. He is known for being very enthusiastic and excitable. In contrast to his usual cheerful attitude towards most activities and interactions, Gus has admitted to being rather insecure about his age. He feels neglected for being younger than most others, and as such, tries to act assertively so as not to be left behind. This has also led him to be very welcoming to newcomers, as he is able to understand and empathize.

Amity Blight

Amity used to be friends with Willow until she stopped hanging out with her when she gained her witch powers and Willow did not. Due to their strained relationship, Amity often teases her, often leaving her seething with anger. She wants to prove Amity wrong and that she is a strong witch in her own right. Amity is slim, with pale skin, bright golden eyes, and pointed ears. Her hair is chin-length, with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and a mostly covered undercut visible at the temples. Amity's hair is two-toned, composed of dyed shades of aquamarine with brown hair, her natural hair color, visible at the roots. When attending school, Amity wears a gray robe with a dark gray belt, hood, and boots. As part of the Abominable class, her sleeves and leggings are magenta. The rest of her outfit includes black triangle-shaped earrings and black nail polish. At her debate appearance, she had a star pin on her hood, showing that she was the top student. She wears dark grey heeled boots, with a light grey top. When not attending school, Amity dresses in a black half-sleeved dress with a grey belt fastened around her waist, orchid tights, and black heeled boots with gold crescent moon buckles. Around her neck, she wears an amulet with an orchid gemstone on it; this later turns out to be an oracle spell that Odalia uses to send her telepathic messages. Amity is described as bright and competitive, and is part of the Abominations class. As the "Top Student" at Hexside, Amity takes pride in her status and goes so far as to use it as bragging rights. She looks down on other students who are not as successful as her and mocks them, as greatly expressed in her treatment of Willow.

Magic

Magic: Willow is adept at magic. Like many witches, her connection to magic comes from a sac of magical bile that is attached to her heart. Plant Magic: Willow is skilled in using plant-based magic, which usually manifests as green, thorny vines around her. In fits of intense emotion, such as anger, she is shown to be able to use her magic without making a spell circle, indicated by her eyes glowing green when she uses her magic in this state. She uses her magic to aid plants, and can cause a small seed to sprout into a colossal vine. She can also control plants with her magic, summoning them from the ground, turning them into monstrous versions of themselves, and using them to grab and hold others. However, Willow can lose control of her powerful magic, and can accidentally entangle herself and others in vines when she does so. Plant Teleportation: Willow can use plants to teleport herself and others. Plant Revival: Willow can revive plants that have been damaged. Water Magic: Willow uses this type of magic to water her plants.

Clover (Taliamigo)

Clover is Willow Park's Buddy. Abandoned by his original owner, Clover was taken in by the Bat Queen before eventually bonding with Willow during a Buddy adoption event. Clover has the appearance of a large bee with a golden-yellow body, pale yellow fur around his neck, and a brown stripe around his abdomen. He has translucent blue wings, black eyes with yellow sclera, a grey beak-like nose, and a pale yellow stinger. Clover has the ability to attach himself to a staff like a splice and detach himself to move around as a conscious entity. Flight: Due to her wings, Clover has the ability to fly when she is off her staff.

What are the abominable ones?

Created from reanimated matter, abominables serve as laborers on the Boiling Isles. Their low sentience ensures that they will recognize and obey the commands of the witch who made them. However, Incident #3421 from Eda's Hexside writings indicates that abominables can rebel against their creators. Multiple abominables can also be combined into a single form to increase their size and power. Abominables have a crude humanoid appearance and behavior. Their bodies are so poorly constructed that maintaining a consistent form is a struggle. Most abominations fall apart easily, but witches with stronger magic can keep the abominable stabilized and make it larger and more durable in combat. Abominables that exhibit an overly disproportionate appearance or have multiple limbs or appendages where there should be none are considered failures. There are several ways to create and use abominations: A witch can simply summon abominations through a spell circle. Abominations can be made from ingredients and body parts. An abomination can be conjured by combining earth and plants. Amity carries a bottle of abomination clay to create one. Blight Industries sells weapons based on abominations, such as the Abomaton. Witches can become an abomination.
