Description:

DedSec is the most famous hacker group appearing in Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2. They are associated with Aiden Pearce and T-Bone Grady, although they only have relationships with some of their members. The group itself opposes the implementation and use of CTOS and aims to prove that the system is flawed and unnecessary. The group's members hack into various CTOS systems for destructive purposes in order to highlight their weaknesses and his vulnerabilities. Some audio logs left by one of their members, G1gg1L3s, reveal that the leaders of DedSec are referred to as the "Council of Daves", or just "The Daves", because they are all called Dave in their usernames in On communications -line. The Daves are not exactly leaders, as DedSec does not believe in that, but they would be the ones who "rule" and give orders in the group, allowing who to join the group or not. DedSec from Chicago gained access to the CTOS network when it spread across the United States. They gave access to other groups in other cities and began to use control of the system to hold protests and, sometimes, they used it to act as mercenaries, but without doing anything that strayed from their ideals. During the "Council of Daves" investigations in Bad Blood, it is revealed that one of the leaders of DedSec had grown tired of the other Daves wanting more to "stroke their own egos through social media than bring real change" and wished to further militarize the DedSec. This Dave lured Dave04 and DaveZB to the Ambrose Theater, Defalt's former haunt, and killed them, then encoded a video of Defalt's meeting with the Daves into a QR Code at Pawnee Dam, as a message to the other Daves not to let Defalt in. He then organized a meeting with Daveftp, Dave Capisano, and Dave_of_Spades at a construction site in Pawnee, then sent Fixers to ambush them. However Raymond Kenney learned of their betrayal in time and arrived to protect the Daves from the waves of Fixers sent to kill them. The Daves pledged their gratitude to Kenney, who declared that he now owed him a favor. It is unknown what happened to Dave who betrayed them.

Aiden Pearce hires one of his members as a mercenary, all of them had their identity preserved using a codename, the mercenary he hired was called Badboy17. Badboy seemed very useful, he helped Aiden with the most difficult things and always got him out of trouble, not personally, but with Hacks that helped him. Later, Badboy17 reveals that she is Clara Lille and that she stopped with DedSec for a while, as she had stolen hacks from the group to give to Aiden, including the Jam Coms and even controls for the L Train.
