Delta Dawn

Appearance

Delta is an orange-skinned Country Troll with white freckles, a georgia peach colored nose, large red hair, dark red eyebrows, greenish blue eyes and she wears a small white hat with a golden star in the middle. She has 4 legs with a glittery white hair coat, that make her look centaur-like. Which is why she mostly doesn't wear pants. Her horse tail is teal. She wears a white and teal plaid shirt. and she also wears a brown felt belt with a circle-shaped buckle. She's also one of the few female Trolls with bust and a slightly plump body.

Personality

Delta normally looks friendly at first glance and she was initially sympathetic towards Queen Poppy, Branch, and Biggie (commenting that the three of them looked like they'd been beaten up by a rainbow). Until she reacts harshly from them playing a different music genre that offended her and her townsfolk, going as far as arresting Poppy, Branch and Biggie for committing a "crime against music". Even though she initially harbored resentment to the other Tribes, she later gladly learns to accept their differences. A personality chart of her is that she has a sassy attitude and love for all "Southern" things, as well as being as smart as a whip and talking in a southern accent.

Relationships

Clampers ButtonWillow is Delta Dawn's niece, we can see Delta take care of her all the time, often keeping Clampers safe in her large hair. And Delta also seems to be friends with another country troll named Growly Pete, who's somewhat mistrusting and doesn't appear to go above Delta Dawn's orders; he quickly falls asleep when she tells him to watch over the jail. Even though she reacted harshly at first with Branch and Queen Poppy, later on she grows a fond of them and becomes her friend.

Backstory

Delta Dawn was first seen singing Born to Die. Thinking the Country Trolls needed cheering, Poppy, Branch, and Biggie sang a mashup of pop songs in hopes of enlightening her and the Country Trolls, only for Delta to throw them into jail. She, along with her fellow Country Trolls and her niece Clampers, chased the trio after Hickory broke them out of jail. After returning from the chase, Delta and the other Country Trolls were abducted offscreen by Queen Barb and the Rock Trolls to Volcano Rock City, with the Country string being taken in the process. There, Delta and Clampers (as well as the other leaders) were converted into rock zombies by Barb using the Ultimate Power Chord. However, Poppy was able to avoid getting brainwashed by putting gumdrops in her ears, and got the guitar from Barb. After smashing the guitar, Delta, alongside the other leaders and Branch, were returned to normal. But the destruction of the Strings left everyone with a profound sense of loss as Barb blamed Poppy for destroying all music. Although everyone was intially heartbroken by this apparent loss, Cooper and Darnell began to make music, and it was Queen Essence who realized aloud for all to hear that while their music started with the strings, it truly came from within themselves, which is something that can never be taken away. Then, King Trollex agreed by declaring music came from their experiences, with Delta adding that it comes from their lives, and Essence from their culture. Then all the Trolls sang together, inspiring harmony between them and restoring their true colors. Delta, with the other leaders, later visited Pop Village to celebrate the harmony of the Tribes.

Extra

As the fearless leader of the Country Music Trolls, Mayor Delta Dawn is tasked with keeping the peace, and no one in Lonesome Flats is more up to the challenge. She's a whip smart, youthful leader with an unmistakably beautiful singing voice and skills to play her banjo, accompanied by her extravagant auburn locks and no-fuss attitude; in other words, she's a radiant vision in crocheted cowboy boots. But don't let first impressions fool you -Delta Dawn is more than willing to get tough with anyone who threatens this traditional way of life. Because it reflects their hardscrabble world, country music means everything to the citizens of Lonesome Flats. As for Delta Dawn...she will protect her town and her music with everything she's got

Lonesome Flats

Lonesome Flats is located in a desert, and is loosely based on a wild west theme. It is located northeast of Vibe City, northwest of Troll Forest and Pop Village, and west of Symphonyville. The distance from Symphonyville to Lonesome flats is about half a day by foot, which is the time it took Poppy, Branch and Biggie to make it there in Trolls World Tour. In Trolls: Holiday in Harmony, it was shown that this location does not experience the winter season as it barely snows in warmer climates. Lonesome Flats is a sandy and harsh place in Troll Kingdom. The Country Trolls settled on a deserted area after the isolation from the Pop Trolls. Lonesome Flats appear to be of low technology, as there isn't much of advanced devices in it. It resembles quilt, with different stitches patterned on the ground and buildings. It's mostly comprised of hot colors (e.g. orange, yellow, red, etc.), which matches both the desertic nature of its location and its wild west theme.
