private spy in training
Good, bad, you always know their next move. Victory goes to the gray men in the middle because you never know how we will surprise you. Said by Francisco Francis he is the supposed son of Agent Epsilon, but in The Unblinking Eye it is revealed that he is his clone, the youngest of a series of Epsilon clones. He made his first appearance in The Swarm At The Edge Of Space. Francis is a boy about Zak's age, with green hair neatly cut and combed to the side. His eye color is unknown, as he is always seen wearing perfectly circular black sunglasses with a green area in the middle. He wears a green trench coat with a lighter green t-shirt and a black tie, as Epsilon does. It could possibly be a uniform. His pants, shoes, and gloves are solid black. Personality In his first appearance, he appears lonely and not a little selfish, ignoring everyone by seemingly playing a handheld video game. It is later discovered that the device is actually driving the jellyfish cryptids surrounding the aircraft crazy. Francis forces Zak Saturday to capture one of the jellyfish for study, but later releases it on his father's ship with the other jellyfish when he and Epsilon realize that the jellyfish contains the control device and is guiding them all. the other jellyfish after them, while Zak on Saturday had planned it. He notes that Zak's file should be updated in light of this. Throughout the episode it appears that Francis has little regard for Zak's life, leaving him in numerous life-threatening situations. This prompts Zak to directly ask him if he and Epsilon are actually good guys, to which Francis disdainfully comments that good and evil are predictable, while the "gray men" are darker. He reappears in Paris and is melting down with other agents, whom he and Epsilon continually refer to as his "People."
Private spy in training and leader of the organization
Epsilon and Francis try to apprehend the Sabbaths along with the secret scientists when their parallel opposites, the Mondays, try to make it seem like the Sabbaths are turning evil. When Zak and Komodo Monday are revealed to be antimatter doubles, the people of Epsilon attempt to stop the warp effects occurring in Paris and initiate a cover-up with the French government. At the behest of his "People", Francis and Epsilon were to "recruit" Zak in the episode The Unblinking Eye in which Francis would be sent with Zak to a base where he would teach and train Zak. Francisco hated the idea but did his best to maintain order. When Zak refused, Epsilon, Francis, and the other agents pursued them on quadruped walkers, tracking him via a satellite carrying Naga's Kur detection artifact that Epsilon's people had stolen from Doyle. While chasing Zak, Francis ends up in an argument about how they interact with his parents and it is revealed that Francis and Epsilon are clones of an agent from almost 100 years ago, and that one day Francis will be the Epsilon and he will have his own "Francisco" To teach. Francis says that he has no choice in the matter and must act on the order to take Zak to be trained, and that he cannot have personal feelings on the matter as they only get in the way. Zak tells Francis that he is his own person and that no matter what people called them, "monsters" or "clones", they were still their own people and didn't have to be what others called them. After this, Francis decides to let Zak go. This conversation hints at a possible spurred friendship or commonalities between Zak and Francis. During Francis' conversation with Zak, it is shown that Francis hates having to follow every order he is given and not receiving any thanks for it. At the beginning of the episode, he also seems to resent that Epsilon, the eldest, belittles his attempts.
Private spy in training and leader of the organization
At the beginning of the episode, he also seems to resent Epsilon, the eldest, belittling his attempts when he took the initiative instead of following direct orders. Relationships Agent Epsilon is Francis's clone and acts as a "father" in public. Not much is known about how they behave outside of Saturdays, but it is implied that their relationship is largely that of a mentor and apprentice with little to no affection. Regardless of how he personally feels about it, Francis has the utmost respect for the orders of Epsilon (and, consequently) his People. He is shown to be hurt by Epsilon's criticism and Francisco seeks to impress him. Zak Saturday was previously an enemy of Francisco, although they have since come to slightly hate each other, having found common ground. At first they did not get along, Francis manipulated Zak to get what he wanted and Zak was constantly frustrated by his dismissive and professional attitude. Since then, Francis and Zak have bonded over their mutual dislike, as well as the pressures placed on them by labels (i.e. the expectations of Francis as a clone and the expectations of Zak as a monster). They grudgingly respect each other. Francis is independent, intellectual, intelligent, capable, strong, you have mixed feelings for Zak, he says he hates him but deep down he loves him.
