Marc's Appearance

Marc is a fairly tall and slender teenage boy with a somewhat feminine appearance, with messy rock-style black hair with blues reflections, vivid green eyes with visible lashes, thick eyebrows, pink lips, and a slender face with a pointed chin. He also has tan skin. Civilian attire He wears a V-neck rainbow tie-dye t-shirt which displays the colors in a ripple pattern originating from the center. Over his t-shirt, he wears a bright red jacket with hood and white drawstrings, and pink lining on the inside. He wears moderate azure jeans with the bottoms rolled up and a number of horizontal rips around his knees. He wears a pair of black boots with faint "oil slick" rainbow blotches. He also wears a pair of black leather fingerless gloves, a black leather collar around his neck, and a square-nails belt with a square silver buckle. Hanging from his belt are a pair of square-nails chains that hang around his thighs. His nails are painted black.

Marc As Reverser

Reverser was in a checkerboard patterned suit with a hood that was attached to it. The left side of his suit had solid black markings, like on his hood, hair, eyebrow, iris of the eye, pupil, lips, chest, arm, waist, fingers, and pant leg. On the right side, his inner hood, face, sclerae, teeth, palm, feet, half of a circle on the chest, were black. Reverser's weapons were small black and white paper airplanes that could reverse the abilities or the personality of the person who is hit. He rode on a large paper hoverboard.

Marc As Rooster Bold

Rooster Bold wears a very dark cobalt blue skin-tight outfit covered by a moderate red tailcoat with a blue-violetish black inside and multiple long feather-like tails going down from around his waist. That coat has golden accents and darker feather-shaped sections going out the middle. He wears a short vivid red ascot and golden boots resembling a rooster's legs, even having the spurs that real roosters have. His eyes with brilliant red irises and light gold sclera are covered by a little over-hanging plain red mask. His black hair is slicked back and he has a brilliant red mohawk resembling a rooster's comb. His skin turns noticeably light, and he wears the Rooster Miraculous on his left thumb.

Marc's personality

Like Juleka Couffaine, Marc is very shy, quiet and nervous around others. This is shown when Marinette pulls Marc into the art room to introduce him to everyone. He is also quite shy in front of his first friend at the school, Marinette, refusing to show her his stories. He likes to write stories (particularly about Ladybug and Nathaniel) but is sheepish and self-conscious when people read them. When he runs away in embarrassment out of the art room, he runs into a pillar and drops his notebook and Marinette picks it up and reads it. When she hands the notebook back to him later on, Marc immediately turns red. Like Marinette, he is sweet and he is very kind but also quite clumsy, especially when he’s around someone he has feelings for. As Rooster Bold, he gets the confidence he needs to show off his abilities and use them to better help his team. As Reverser, he was demanding and clever, realizing that Ladybug's graceful agility made her difficult to strike. He endangered civilians in order to make Ladybug an easy target when she went to help the affected cyclist.He was also confident, leaning on a bit overconfident. After he struck Ladybug and Cat Noir with his airplanes, he saw the heroes as harmless and believed he had time to obtain his revenge on Nathaniel and Marinette before dealing with them. He was also cruel, reversing anyone even those who haven't done anything to him, like with making the art club hate art and music, and making André Bourgeois send the dumpsters that were in space back to Paris. He did sympathize with those who are mistreated, like with what happened between him and Nathaniel, as he saw how Chloé treated Sabrina like a slave so he struck both of them to make Chloé tend to Sabrina instead.

Marc's abilities

As Marc Marc is an excellent creative story writer. His Ladybug stories, based on Nathaniel's drawings, impress Marinette (the real Ladybug) so much that she pushes him to work with Nathaniel to make the Ladybug/Mighty Illustrator comic. Since the two of them complete the comic, it is implied that Marc's writing skills are strong enough for him to write well in script style as well as in short story style. He is also shown to be quite good at soccer. As Reverser Reverser had enhanced physical characteristics: speed, agility and strength. Reverser rode on a large paper hoverboard, which had the ability to fly around at will. He could also make small black and white paper airplanes with the ability to reverse the abilities or a personality trait to its opposite, by calling out what trait he wished to reverse and shouting "Reversion!". Notable examples are when he made Ladybug become extremely clumsy after hitting her with a paper plane, or when he made Cat Noir a coward (which explains why Reverser called them Ladyclutz and Scaredy Cat). This could also affect specific actions, as Reverser was able to make André Bourgeois bring the trash containers in space back to Earth. As Rooster Bold Rooster Bold has enhanced speed, strength, endurance and agility. If Rooster Bold says Sublimation, he activates his power, which is the ability to add another super ability to anything he is doing, whether it is an enhanced ability, or an actual superpower. However, he can only get one superpower per transformation and can only use it once.

Marc's relationship with Nathaniel

Marc often looks at Nathaniel's drawings online and uses them for inspiration for his stories. He is delighted when he gets a chance to see them in person. When Marinette suggests showing Nathaniel his writings so they can make a comic book together, Marc fears what might happen if Nathaniel doesn't like his stories, so he takes Marinette's offer of showing the book without saying who wrote it. But when Nathaniel angrily rejects Marc's offer of making a comic book together after mistakenly believing that the latter was playing a joke on him, Marc ends up getting so upset that he is akumatized by Hawk Moth. However, after he is deakumatized, the misunderstanding is cleared up, and the two start making a comic book together and they finally become boyfriends.They can be seen together in later episodes such as "Frozer" and "Mayura". In "Frozer", as Adrien is looking at each of the school's couples, Nathaniel and Marc are seen sitting on the staircase together looking at a book. In "Mayura", Nathaniel places his hands on Marc's shoulders as they all cheer for Marinette, which shows that their bond has deepened and that there is a high level of trust between the two. From the way Marc acts around and talks about Nathaniel, it can be inferred that Marc has a "fondness" toward him; this was later confirmed on Twitter by Feri. As Reverser, he seeks revenge on Nathaniel for the emotional pain caused by his rejection. His intent is to reverse Nathaniel into being willing to make the comic book. In "Hack-San", when Robostus commands a mind controlled Marc to give him his most precious possession, the thing he offers to the villain's digital prison is Nathaniel.In "Representation", Marc and Nathaniel are boyfriends at the party in the Eiffel Tower and they were holding hands.

Nathaniel appearance

Physical appearance Nathaniel is fairly short with turquoise eyes, and face length messy ginger hair. He has long bangs that are brushed to the left side of his face, covering most of his left eye. But before that in early season 1 episodes (i.e Darkblade) and the card game "Miraculous Secrets", Nathaniel's hair was chestnut brown before Alix dyed to it's current color. Civilian attire He wears a red orange t-shirt with a black logo design on the front, similar to that of the band Magma. Over his shirt, he wears a dark gray dress jacket with a folded collar, folded sleeves, and side pockets. He wears purple jeans that are rolled up at the bottom revealing a light purple bottom, and his shoes are gray with white lace and a white section where his toes would be. In Derision Flashback his shirt was purple instead just like 8th grade class photo in Reflekta. As Evillustrator Evillustrator's skin was pale purple, and his hair was brushed back while colored orange with purple tips. On his head he had a dark purple beret, and on his face, he had a deep violet butterfly-shaped mask, and his eyes were moderate cyan. He wore a white jumpsuit with dark purplish-black stripes and solid dark purple legs that became red halfway down his lower legs. On his chest, there was a black circle with smaller red, yellow, and blue circles inside. His collar was similar to Juleka's usual T-shirt, with a red collar underneath. A black drawing tablet was attached to the back of his right forearm. His pen was silver towards the tip, with the end being black with a red stripe in the middle.

Nathaniel as caprikid

Caprikid wears a skin-tight suit composed of black pants and a black jacket with two thick white lines that go up diagonally from the bottom of his zipper to his shoulders. The jacket possesses a bushy white fur collar around his neck and at the ends of his sleeves. The zipper itself is a hollow upward pointing white triangle. His mask is mainly white, covering his eyes, with a V-shaped black section in the top/center. He also wears white gloves with black boots that have white fur at their top and white soles. His hair remains red, covering most of the left side of his face. He has two gray goat-like horns going up with a small curve off the top of his head.

Nathaniel's personality

As a civilian, Nathaniel is imaginative and artistic. An introverted soul, he is quiet and shy in class, and seems to be quite easily lost in his fantasies, such as when he is daydreaming about his crush, Marinette. In his drawings, he creates "Super Nathan", a courageous superhero version of himself, as a way to imagine himself as being more brash and outgoing. Nathaniel can be rather observant about details around him, including goo left by Horrificator in the episode of the same name and the details of Chloé's bracelet in "Rogercop". Afraid of being judged, he prefers to be secretive about his art, and if he is accused of something, he becomes nervous, and, if the accusations are true, deeply embarrassed. This introverted nature of his is the root for his individualism, as he prefers to work alone and dislikes team sports. This changed partly after he met Marc and the two started working together to create their comic books.He is easily terrified in some scary or stressful situations, as in "Horrificator", but in other situations, he is willing to stand up for himself, such as when others accuse him of stealing Chloé's bracelet. In "Reverser", Nathaniel has a bit of a habit of jumping to conclusions when he assumed the book Marinette gave him came from Ladybug, when it actually came from Marc, without giving him the chance to explain. Similar to Cat Noir, he is sensitive of his feelings towards the heroine.As Caprikid, he retains most of his personality, especially his creativity, which he uses when invoking his power to create any object he wants. However, he becomes more of a team player, as he fights alongside Ladybug and the rest of her team in a very effective way, especially when he uses his power to convince Penalteam he and the other heroes can use their powers infinitely and without detransforming.

As Evillustrator (who is based on "Super Nathan"), he was more confident and direct, such as when he literally barged into Marinette's bedroom and asked her out to celebrate his birthday with him. Even when akumatized, he still genuinely cared for her, promising her that he would stop attacking Chloé and even defying Hawk Moth for a while when his date was at stake. However, he was furious when humiliated or tricked and he can be short-tempered and reckless - his response to Marinette betraying him was accusing her of being just like Chloé.

Nathaniel abilities

As a civilian Nathaniel is an artist, skilled in drawing pictures with pencil, pen, and marker, and creating digital arts on his tablet. He is good at drawing still life, such as Chloé's bracelet, and drawing comics with human figures and costume designs. In "Zombizou", Nathaniel is also shown to be talented in painting, as he made one for Caline Bustier for her birthday. In "Re-creation", Nathaniel can use spray paint to do graffiti art as well. In his titular episode, Nathaniel as Evillustrator is shown "drawing" musical notes to create a melody, suggesting he has some musical knowledge or talent as well. As Evillustrator:Evillustrator had the power to draw whatever he wanted onto his drawing tablet to make it appear and exist in real life. The objects he created could levitate and move freely in the air. He could also erase objects, both real-life objects or previous drawings, such as erasing a hole into a wall. However, in order to draw, Evillustrator needed light, so in darkness, he was unable to use his powers. In addition to regular physical objects, he could create cages made from an unknown, transparent blue material as well as living creatures.[8] He could also play music by drawing musical notes, suggesting his creations could be non-physical as long as it has a visual representation. Additionally, Evillustrator was supernaturally agile, being able to leap high and far distances. The Miraculous manga gave him additional powers, such as the ability to create a "texture shield" around himself that paralyzed his opponents. as Caprikid he has enhanced capabilities such as speed and agility. His weapon is a paint brush that he can also use like a staff to defend himself. He can also use it to activate his power Genesis, which allows him to create any object he can imagine. However, despite he can create any object, his creations are mundane and don't have any kind of magic.

relationship with Marc

While initially angry, believing Marc tricked him, after a misunderstanding was cleared, they began a project together using Marc's stories and Nathaniel's art skills to create a comic book, forming a friendship at the same time and after while in the end becoming boyfriends. They continue working together on comic books as seen in "Frozer", "Mayura", and "Gamer 2.0". In "Frozer", as Adrien is looking at each of the school's couples, Nathaniel and Marc are seen sitting on the staircase together looking at a book. In "Mayura", Nathaniel places his hands on Marc's shoulders as they all cheer for Marinette which shows that their bond has deepened and that there is a high level of trust between the two. In "Hack-San", after Marc had gotten a supposed "call" from Markov, both Nathaniel and the book got absorbed. While it is uncertain whether Marc's most prized possession was the comic book or Nathaniel himself, the latter proves their strong bond. In "Representation", Nathaniel and Marc are at the party on the Eiffel Tower holding hands.
