Brick McArthur (eng. Brick) is a member of Desperate Heroes: Revenge of the Island, who was originally part of the Maggots Mutant team but was moved to the Toxic Rats team in the Fear Seekers series.

Personality

Brick is an army guy who enforces the “never leave a cadet” code, as if his life depended on it. He fully respects his superiors, greeting them and even praising the Chef's disgusting meals, which only Owen had done before him. According to Dawn, Brick needs to be dominated, but he can easily take control of himself when needed. Brick and Joe are very competitive. However, unlike many other members, Brick respects such experienced players. He is also grateful to have them on the same team. Brick may be tough, but it's also very sensitive. He has a habit of urinating and is also afraid of the dark. In The Pursuit of Beauty, he cries as he dresses Sakswachanakwa for a “fashion disaster.” The incident makes Brick want to go to fashion school, which he proudly announces in Mind vs. Muscle: The Final! , to everyone's shock.

Desperate Heroes: Revenge of the Island

When Brick is featured in More! It's worse! Gesture!” , it becomes obvious that he has extensive military experience, such as his habit of constantly saluting and referring to others as “sir”. He is the fourth competitor to reach the finish line and is among the Mutant Maggots. He tries to be of use to his team, but he can't get the ax out of the totem pole and stays hanging. However, a mutant squirrel appears and attacks him, firing a laser that cuts the rope and releases the Larvae totem pole, continuing to overwhelm Brick in the process.

In Truth or Mutant Shark, Brick's athletic and disciplined character immediately leads him to disagreements with Joe. During their daily morning runs, they bump into each other and start arguing about who is stronger. Later, during the “Get to Know You” quiz, it turns out that he peed in his pants on the first and last day of school, which makes him deeply embarrassed. In the second part of the challenge, Brick is plagued by setbacks, and he is repeatedly injured on the obstacle course. His rivalry with Joe escalates even more in X-X-Cold Test, where they begin competing in everything, including the fastest meal, the fastest mountain climb, and even a finger fight for team leadership. Brick is in intense pain as he is injured from all the dangers in the episode, including being strangled with a spoon, a dislocated both arms and a punch from a mountain by Anna Maria.

Brick reveals in Fear Seekers that he's afraid of the dark and that's why he's having trouble testing. When Zoey goes missing, Brick agrees with Mike that they must save her, but Joe refuses, despite Chris's previous instructions. At some point, Brick is so scared that he starts urinating, but claims he fell into a puddle of water before. Brick leaves to dry his pants but is captured by a giant spider. After Svetlana releases him, Brick tries to save her friends, but instead Joe orders him to finish the challenge. Brick follows her command, but this turns out to be a mistake as his team is being punished for losing more members than the Toxic Rats. During the expulsion ceremony, Brick voluntarily agrees to the elimination, but Chris instead hands it over to the Toxic Rats.

His first episode as a member of the Toxic Rats didn't come easy for him, as he wakes up too early and his alarm clock wakes the others up. Trying to help Dawn pick up the trash, she tells him he doesn't always need someone to help because he's been teased a lot and needs to be dominated. He doesn't understand how she knows he's been teased a lot and tells her he's big and in charge. Brick doesn't know that Scott is plotting to eliminate him, blaming him for the recent theft, but Scott soon changes his plan and removes Dawn instead, sparing Brick for a while. Because their team is officially only male, he, Lightning, and Scott consider themselves “team men” in The Pursuit of Beauty. Brick comes up with the idea to build a bomb in his gym bag, which will make Saskwachanaqua get dressed instantly, but when the animal ends up wearing a terrible baby suit, he cries in confession, sadly declaring that he will stay out of fashion. That night, Joe and Scott switch teams, and when he tries to welcome her to the team, Joe grasps his hand roughly and straightens him, saying it's her team now. When Sam is eliminated and apologizes for not being more helpful, Brick replies by saying “Semper Fi” (Always Loyal).

In “The Mine Is a Scary Thing,” he again argues with Joe about who should be their team leader. After Joe calls him “Major Dampness,” Brick threatens to eliminate her if she doesn't follow his rules. Shortly after the trial begins, Brick separates from his team. He wanders alone in the dark, which scares him a lot. He encounters a mutant gopher who first stalks him, but Brick discovers that the gopher is repelled by the smelly smell of his boot, which he calls the smell of war. Reunited with their team, they were instantly caught by mutant gophers and taken to their leader, former Desperate Heroes member Iquil. As participants prepare to escape from the mines, Brick saves Mike, Zoey, and Cameron from a mutant gopher by knocking him out with his team's statue, breaking it in the process. As a result, his team lost the challenge and Brick was removed from the game due to Joe's new alliance with Lightning, and because his team had to face a problem. Before he accepts the Catapult of Shame, Mike, Cameron, and Zoe thank him for saving them, saluting him. Moments later, Anna Maria joins him after leaving the competition and Chris catapults them both off the island.

When mutant animals become enraged, Larry attacks Brick, Stacey, Joe, Mike, and Zoey until Cameron saves them. In Cameron's final, when he announces that he's going to share his winnings with everyone, Brick happily announces that he can finally go to fashion school, much to the surprise of the other participants. Brick isn't embarrassed by their reaction and just says, “Yes, you heard me.” When the Feds arrest Chris, Brick and his comrades laugh at him.
