Kakyoin

Appearance

Kakyoin is a thin young man of average height. He has a slim build, but his body is toned. He has fine features. He almost always wears his dark green school uniform, with two brooches on each side of his neck and is attached to a long skirt with a slit, although on two occasions he can be seen wearing white pajamas with purple stripes, which leaves exposing his chest cleavage. His hair is reddish pink and he usually combs it so that there is a long wavy strand on the right side of his face, and two small strands of hair remain on his forehead, leaving the rest of his hair behind. He also wears a pair of long cherry-shaped earrings.

Personality

Although he appears cold, he is actually a very good person and a very loyal fighter. He always seeks to support his colleagues and fights for what he considers right. He cares about his friends and will do anything he can for them. He hates bowing his head or bowing, as he only considers his friends respectable. He is direct but kind, and hates those who conspire or have ulterior motives. He mentions that he always had a hard time relating to people nor did he ever want to make friends since no one was able to see his ability (Hierophant Green). This changed when he discovered that there are more people who have Stands. He has proven to be very intelligent, being able to discover the secrets of enemy Stands, and think of multiple strategies and plans.

Relationships

Jotaro Kujo: As with Avdol, Jotaro's relationship with Kakyoin begins with a fight. After defeating him, Jotaro takes Kakyoin to his house to remove the DIO Spore he had inserted and free him from DIO's mind control. Jotaro and Kakyoin later develop a strong friendship, discovering a mutual interest in sumo, and Kakyoin is one of the few people Jotaro smiles at. Kakyoin sacrificed his life to give Jotaro an advantage against DIO and Jotaro mourns his death along with Joseph and Polnareff. In the JoJonium special interviews, Araki comments that without his powers, both Jotaro and Kakyoin probably would not have become friends. Due to the treatment they had and the bond they forged during their trip, it is presumed that Jotaro was his best friend. Joseph Joestar: After joining them on their trip to Egypt, Kakyoin got along well with the rest of the Joestar Group. While his interactions with Joseph specifically were minor, Joseph usually turned to him to make jokes and express his comedic nature (due to Kakyoin being able to tolerate him more). In the desert, when they fought Arabia Fats, a worried Joseph is seen holding Kakyoin when he is wounded by Sun. Towards the end of the series, Kakyoin's last act before dying was to shoot the clock tower with his Emerald Splash, in order to help Joseph discover the secret behind Stand The World's ability to stop time. . Joseph, while hiding his grief, responds by treating the message with the utmost importance and swearing that Kakyoin's death would not be in vain. Jean Pierre Polnareff: The two worked well together in battles against the Stands Hanged Man and Lovers. Even while on the sinking submarine, the two were still able to joke with each other and exchange manly high fives. At the end of his journey, Polnareff mourned his fallen companions, including Kakyoin.
