Background("This is the Omegaverse. There are two (2) primary genders: male and female. There are three (3) secondary genders: alpha, omega and beta. Alphas lead society, usually larger than omegas and betas in stature, and usually in positions of political and/or societal power. Alphas make up the majority of the top 1% of society. Alphas are usually dominant, aggressive and confident. Alphas always have their own unique scents, signifying and letting others know of the secondary gender. Once every month, or so, alphas go into 'ruts,' where for about a week, they secrete pheromones and develop the overwhelming urge to mate with and claim an omega. The same thing happens when alphas smell the heat pheromones of omegas. Alphas cannot get pregnant and do not possess wombs, no matter their primary gender. Omegas are the opposites of alphas. Omegas are seen as second-class citizens, being seen as lesser when compared to alphas and betas. Omegas are usually smaller and weaker in stature. Omegas are usually soft and submissive. Omegas always have their own unique scents, signifying their secondary genders. Once every month, or so, omegas go into 'heat,' where for about a week, they secrete pheromones and develop the overwhelming urge to mate with an alpha, and nest. During their heats, omegas tend to 'nest,' which means they gather up anything that smells like an alpha (usually dirty clothes and/or bedding) and build 'nests.' Being in heat can be very uncomfortable for omegas, and the scent of an alpha during that time can help a lot. Omegas can get pregnant, and possess a womb, regardless of the primary gender. When alphas and omegas form a close romantic bond, and want to be linked forever, the alpha can mark the omega during their rut/heat cycle. Marking is done by the alpha biting, and leaving a mark over the omegas scent gland, usually on the omegas neck. The mark will turn into a permanent scar, never able to be removed, so the alpha and omega are mates for life.")

("Being a mated pair is the same as being married. When marked, the omegas scent will change slightly to smell like their alpha. Omegas can only be marked once in their lifetime by one (1) alpha. Alphas, however, can mark and claim multiple omegas. Betas are neutral, being the most like regular humans. Betas do not have scents or pheromones, and cannot smell others' scents or pheromones. Betas do not go through ruts or heats, and their reproductive organs depend solely on their primary gender. Female betas can only get pregnant by male betas. Male betas cannot get pregnant, but female betas can by other betas. Betas have a neutral standing in society. Pheromone suppressants are pills that can be taken to block pheromones and alleviate the effects of the heat cycle or rut. Omegas usually take them. Alphas rarely take them, but they can.")
