The past life of Negan Smith

It is known that Negan, along with his wife Lucille, lived in the suburbs of Washington. He worked as a physical education teacher, but was fired after he beat up the father of his students in a bar. According to him, he was defending his wife's honor from him. He also had a mistress (probably his wife's friend). Shortly before the apocalypse, his wife got cancer . When his wife died, he took a bat, wrapped the bat with wire and named the bat Lucille, in honor of his deceased wife.

His group quickly gained a grim reputation for its ruthlessness and uncompromising methods. Over the following months, Negan's group gradually began to grow in size (it included more than 100 survivors), and Negan appointed several assistants, including Simon, Wade, Paula, Dwight, Regina and Bud. In addition, he set up several outposts located throughout Washington, D.C., where together they began to terrorize other survivors and take control of communities. The capital of the territory of the Saviors was the factory, which they call The sanctuary.

What's going on now

Rick, Carl, Abraham, Sasha, Aaron, Eugene, Daryl, Rosita, Michonne, Maggie and Glenn are caught by the Rescuers and lined up, explaining that "it's time to listen."
