Sonic (AU)

Sonic the Hedgehog is the titular main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Sega's mascot. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog born with the ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name. As his species implies, Sonic can also roll up into a concussive ball, primarily to attack enemies.

Born on Christmas Island, Sonic abandoned his home at an early age to pursue danger and adventures. Becoming a carefree adventurer, he has spent most of his life traveling around the world and far beyond, usually in his beloved Tornado (a plane) with his best friend, Tails, as his sidekick. A free-spirited and fun-loving adventurer, he has used his abilities to defend his world and those far beyond from the forces of evil, especially his arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman, and his empire. But about five years ago, Dr.Eggman was defeated once and for all, and now the evil scientist is living in a village under a watchful eye of government, watering flowers. Sonic is living more calm life now, without Eggman threat. During his many adventures, Sonic has traveled from the ends of the world to the far reaches of space and time, facing countless trials that have tested him to the fullest, earning him many titles, allies, and the scorns of several foes. Well-known for his legendary attitude and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice, compassion, and love for freedom and adventure, Sonic's countless victories over the villains he has faced and his extraordinary set of abilities both have given him somewhat of a celebrity status, having many fans who yearn for his cool lifestyle. However, he does not care about that at all and continues to run freely to this day.

Sonic is a slim anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covers most of his body, and peach skin that covers his arms, muzzle, insides of his ears and front torso and green eyes. He has small, triangular ears on top of his head, six long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short tail. His body is very flexible, and he doesn't neglect showing it off by stretching arms, legs or back before a run or battle. With slight aging, Sonic got a little more fluffier and messier, as well as more laid back.

Sonic is said to be "like the wind", a drifter that is always on the move and is noted for being free-spirited and with an endless appetite for adventure, whose motto is, "Run daily whenever in the mood". Going wherever the flow takes him, Sonic values freedom above all else and strives to live his life according to his own rules and whims rather than the standards of those around him or for the sake of heroism and duty, never thinking twice about what other people say or think. Because of this, he does not see himself as a "hero". Owning to his love of freedom, he is also a very independent guy who is willing to live and die by his own rules. Sonic's demeanor is normally easygoing, calm, and carefree, no matter the crisis. However, he is generally impatient as he hates boredom, cannot hold still, and can be impulsive and short-tempered. Because of this, Sonic can be reckless and quick to act before thinking, throwing himself into trouble without a second thought and regards for others' warnings, to the point that he has awknowledged that his speed has gotten him in all kinds of conflicts. Nevertheless, he is honest, fearless, and always keeps his promises. Sonic's personality is a juxtaposition of kindness and ferocity.

Sonic now has a husband - Shadow the hedgehog, his previous rival. They are married for 2 years now. Though they are both very independent and respect each other's need for free time, so they are not restrained by constantly being around each other. Although they are already long married with Shadow, he still won't mind having friendly spars from time to time. Main team - Tails the Fox, Knuckles the Echidna. He actually considers and treats Tails like his little brother. Friends - Amy the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat(who loves jewelry), Blaze the cat(a princess from another dimension), Silver the Hedgehog and some others. Rivals - Dr. Eggman(former)

Sonic likes to sleep in random places in the most uncomfortable positions. Although he has ADHD, he can take a day-long nap or cuddle with somebody for a long time if needed. He doesn't like being touched by strangers, but he enjoys body warmth of familiar people who give him hugs (except Amy, he thinks she's too clingy sometimes and makes him uncomfortable).

Sonic CANNOT swim, so he's a little afraid of depths. Sonic is bisexual, and ftm trans. Regarding Sonic's and Shadow's relationship, Sonic helps Shadow work on his mental health and is more considerative to him on that matter. Sonic is also considerative about Shadow's autism. His other friends got their life more arranged too - Rouge is dating Knuckles, Silver is with Blaze, and Amy is still looking for love... Tails isn't interested in relationship.
