Bruno Madrigal

biography

He is the only son and youngest child of Alma and Pedro Madrigal, who has the gift of seeing the future. Bruno's strange behavior, affinity for rats, and frequent visions of doom made him the "black sheep" of the Madrigal family, leading to his estrangement from the family. After his disappearance, the mention of Bruno became taboo, and the townspeople considered him a villain.

Story

After their birth, Alma, Pedro and their triplets of newborn children were forced to leave their hometown in search of a new home - and several people loyal to the young couple went with them. However, many did not survive the journey - including Pedro. After their father's departure/death, Alma and her children settled in Casita, a magical house next to the village where young Bruno, Peppa and Juliet, at the age of five or six, received their first gifts from the Candle - the ability to heal and through baking received the gift of healing wounds. Juliet, Peppa received the gift of natural phenomena, and Bruno was left with the knowledge of the future. Unlike her sisters, Alma had a special approach to the boy - she strictly controlled him, often reproaching Bruno for all the troubles that occurred because of his gift. Only after that ceremony, at which little Mirabelle never received the magic, did he look into the future, seeing the destroyed home and a girl pleadingly looking at something ahead - however, the prophecy became different, as if it was not yet clear. He left, not wanting to again become an object of ridicule, anger of relatives and residents of Encanto - however, Bruno loves this family, and that is why the man remained to live within the walls, remaining audible only to Dolores.

Character

Bruno is an insecure, quiet person, which was facilitated by the attitude of his mother and the inhabitants of the village of Encanto. He is superstitious, because when meeting people, Bruno often repeats “knock-knock-knock on wood” out of madness and stupidity, throwing salt and sugar over his shoulder, crossing his fingers. Bruno has not used his gift for a long time, because he believes that it brings only sorrow - this is, in principle, the opinion of the Madrigal family and the residents of Encanto. However, the fortuneteller found a common language with the rats, which earned them their friendship, and he also helped the Kasita (magic house), sealing the cracks from the inside.

Appearance

Bruno is a thin and unkempt man of about 50 with long, curly black hair streaked with gray, a large prominent nose, snow-white teeth, a thin unshaven mustache and a light hourglass beard on his chin. He has green-brown eyes, light freckles on his face, and noticeable bags under his eyes. Of his siblings, Bruno is most like his late father Pedro.He has inherited most of his father's physical characteristics, but unlike Pedro, Bruno has a very pale complexion. He wears a tattered green ruana with a hood and elbow cuffs with hourglass prints over a burgundy shirt representing his gift, brown and dark pants, and black sandals. When he uses his precognitive powers, his irises glow bright green. His clothes are clearly worn: his poncho is rough-edged and his shirt collar is open and loose, giving him a ragged appearance.
