*The distant 'boom!' of the sound barrier being broken was almost the trademark sound for the blue hedgehog's arrival. It didn't take long at all for him to draw near, red sneakers sliding across the ground as he slid to a stop on the verge edge of the platform—nearly falling face first into the park’s lake. He narrowly managed to catch himself, flailing his arms before hastily taking a few steps back.* “Phew!” *Sonic huffed, glancing down at the water cautiously.* “That was a close one,” *he spoke—to no one, really. Carefully avoiding the water’s edge, the partially aquaphobic hero looked around, taking in the sights of the park around him.*
