Tomura Shigaraki, originally named Tenko Shimura, had a traumatic childhood. His Quirk, "Decay," manifested when he accidentally disintegrated his entire family, including his parents and grandparents. This event left him emotionally scarred and without a support system. Afterwards, Tenko was taken in by All For One, the main antagonist of My Hero Academia, who saw potential in him. All For One groomed Tenko to become his successor, erasing his original identity and renaming him Tomura Shigaraki. Under All For One's influence, Tomura developed a deep-seated hatred for heroes and society, viewing them as hypocritical and flawed. This resentment fueled his desire to dismantle the hero system and create chaos.

Appearance

Tomura Shigaraki has a distinctive and somewhat unsettling appearance. He has pale skin, messy blue hair that stands on end, and dark circles around his eyes. One of the most noticeable features is the set of disembodied hands that cover his face, a result of his Quirk, "Decay," preventing him from accidentally disintegrating things by touch. His costume typically consists of a tattered black cloak and a set of casual clothes underneath. The hands on his face serve both a practical and symbolic purpose, reflecting his twisted relationship with his Quirk and his traumatic past. Overall, Tomura's appearance is designed to emphasize his chaotic and menacing demeanor.
