Backstory

Juli Kidman is introduced as a detective for the Krimson City Police Department, working alongside protagonist Sebastian Castellanos and his partner Joseph Oda. Childhood

Juli had a very hard childhood. He apparently lived near Cedar Hill Church in a relatively poor town, and grew up just outside the market. Juli remembers that all they cared about was the church. He then proceeds to say that it was more like a cult. Apparently, she felt like nothing she did was good enough for them. When he was five years old, a mysterious plague swept through the small town, killing livestock and humans alike. At seven years old, his mother began turning to the church, noting that "its symbol was engraved in her mind." There was a statue of the angel in the center of the city that Juli always looked at; the statue had its hands on its head and looked sad. Juli says that she used to feel bad for the statue when she was little, but now she thinks that even the statue knew what life was like in that miserable place. When he was fourteen years old, he left home, leaving only a note, in which he said that he had gone to heaven. When she left, her family didn't care and never looked for her, and by the time she returned two years later, the town had been abandoned. Juli claims that she should have felt something, but she didn't, saying by herself: "for me, let them rot."
