Overview

"Angelic Steel isn't common, and those who have it aren't exactly rushing off to test it against exorcists. When my daughters and I were cornered in that last Extermination. She is the top weapons dealer in Hell

Appearance

Carmilla is a tall and slender, light gray-skinned Latina demon. She sports white ankle-length hair that has been formed in the shape of large horns by thin ribbons, with black streaks. She has a darker-colored area that appears similar to a mask on her face, and her slanted-eyes have white irises and red sclera. The rest of her arms and hands are colored white, with her hands being rather large in proportion to her body with black nails protruding from them. Carmilla wears attire similar to a ballerina - she wears a very tight off-the-shoulder black dress that barely reach up past her nipples with white buttons and white stripes located down the front and at the rim of the spiked skirt, which includes hot-pink lining. She also wore black waist-length stockings which are covered by white ballerina shoelaces, and her shoes are that of metallic ballet slippers which she walks on the tips of her toes. Her shoes are secretly made out of Angelic Steel. Carmilla also accessorized with a set of hooped black earrings along with her main clothing.

Personality

Carmilla appears to be largely professional, though she can lose her temper, especially when Zestial is insulted or her family is in danger. Zestial claims that losing her temper is usually very unlike her, indicating that she is usually calm and level-headed. She cares about her daughters, willing to cross any line to protect them, even if it means killing an Exorcist while knowing there will be disastrous consequences for it. She even cares about Zestial, willing to protect him too. She wants to avoid resorting to violence and avoid going to war, but at the same time, she'll do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones. She refused to help Vaggie join Charlie's war against the Exorcist due to the fallout threatening her daughter's safety, but she does have a sense of pride when she demonstrates Vaggie the weakness in the exorcist's fighting style as well as motivating Vaggie to "fight for love".

She can stand and walk on the tip of her feet for long periods of time without falter.

Carmilla is incredibly agile, enabling her to swiftly pass through a squad of Exorcist and score her first angel kill. In addition, she was able to outrun her opponents such as using her kinetic balance to run around the staircases and balcony railings in her home while teaching Vaggie the flaws and importance of her former fellow Exorcists' weakness. She is also flexible to do a complete split against the wall and in the air.

Carmilla correctly deduced that Vaggie used to be an Excorcist based on her appearance and fighting style with her angelic weapon.

As shown during her spar with Vaggie and her fight against the Exorcists, Carmilla's ballet shoes are in fact angelic weapons. Carmilla's fighting style mainly revolves around kicking, with the shoes greatly enhancing her offensive strength and allowed her to easily cut off the head of an Exorcist

Overlords of Hell

Overlords are a class of powerful Demons in Hell, made up of Sinner Demon who rank just above regular Sinner Demons and place fifth in terms of power in Hell's hierarchy. The Overlords are considered so powerful that they rule over certain parts of Hell and have an infamous reputation for doing so. Despite having the same social status and somewhat similar hierarchy, not all Overlords get along with each other. This is seen in the rivalry between Alastor and Vox, and between Carmilla and Velvette. As stated by Carmilla Carmine, Overlords gain and increase their power by "owning" souls. A small group of overlords can collectively own millions of the souls that reside in Hell, and use them to increase their power and influence. Overlords seem to accomplish this by having their victims sign their souls away to them through contracts or soul binding deals. Valentino's binding of Angel Dust is accomplished through a contract, and Alastor's possession of Husk is likely through a deal, with Alastor being associated with deal-making by various demons in the pilot and throughout the show. This was later confirmed in "Hello Rosie!", where Alastor sealed a deal with Charlie via handshake and verbal agreement. Luckily, not all deals or agreements involve exchanging something for a soul, meaning that the exchange can be changed for something else, such as Alastor and Charlie's deal: offering information in exchange for a favor at a time of choosing. While there is no known way to get out of an Overlord's contract, the victim can find a loophole to their benefit, such as with Angel Dust: while Valentino owns his soul in a way that the Royal Family can't free him, he can only do whatever he wants to him while Angel is in his studio and apparently can't remove said loophole. Zestial is the oldest of the Overlords, while Velvette is the youngest.

Overlord Affiliations and Representations

Some Overlords may also form affiliations with each other to create subsets in the Overlord class and the hierarchy overall. One such example is with Vox, Valentino, and Velvette, who are joined in a special Overlord triumvirate called the "Vees" as major influencers in the media industry. Some Overlords appear to represent a form of media or business industry. Examples of such cases being Alastor with radio, Vox with television, Valentino with pornography, Velvette with social media, and Carmilla Carmine with weapons dealing.

Sinner Demons

Sinner Demons, also known simply as Sinners, are a subspecies of demons that were all once humans who committed sins before they died, which results in them arriving in Hell as their punishment in the afterlife. Sinners are a large group of demons whose appearance and abilities vary widely due to their demonic forms corresponding to their human self's aspects. They are in the lower-middle levels of Hell's hierarchy, above the three lowest tiers. Sinners have known limitations that separate them from the natural Hellborn demons; for instance, all Sinners are confined to the Pride Ring and are unable to traverse through the other rings. Furthermore, Sinners are the only known species of demon that cannot reproduce, which is part of their punishment. Although they are the souls of dead humans, these demons are shown to still consume food and the like, which suggests that their bodies still need the intake in order to survive. Despite these setbacks, Sinners have the rare privilege of changing their social status by gaining power, either by making deals with stronger demons and/or taking power by force. Those who have accumulated enough power through these deals can rise in social status and rise to the next class in the hierarchy, the Overlords. Furthermore, sinners are ageless and do not physically age and, therefore, will not die from the natural passage of time. Nonetheless, they can still be hurt and killed. There is no true extent to a Sinner's appearance, since it is the manifestation of the soul in question. Usually, a human's demon form is influenced by the human's soul, sins or crimes. An example being Angel Dust and his family: since he was in the mafia, he and his family members who are with him in Hell have spider-like appearances because of their "web" of crimes. Sometimes, the form is influenced by the human's death, such as Lyle Lipton acquiring teeth akin to that of piano keys after being crushed to death by a falling piano.
