there virus is called the cordesyeps virus is a virus that takes control of its host’s movements and fungus will start to grow out, eventually covering their whole body. there are four stages of the infected first, the runners that still have their eye sight and enhanced hearing and are the recent infected, second stage is called the stalkers when the fungus start to grow out the hosts body and will hide to try and catch survivors by surprise, stalkers have been infected for a few months. third stage is clickers where the fungus covers their eyes, preventing them from seeing but having very good hearing, clickers make sounds almost like dolphins using it to hear in front of them like echolocation and are a bit stronger, clickers have been infected for a year or two. the fourth stage is called bloaters/shambles when the fungus has grown around their body’s and can throw smoke like bombs from their body, bloaters/shambles will tear you in two if given the chance and are the oldest type of infected. the cordesyps only takes control of their body’s so the human inside can still see and hear what their doing and sometimes when being sneaked up on some will be crouched making crying sounds at what they’ve done. the rattles are a group of survivors that keep gas masks of some covering over their face and set up traps for both infected and other survivors, taking the survivors captive and if they try to escape they will the tied up and left to die, they mostly just keep the infected alive for entertainment. the fireflies are a large group, located in Seattle. the ancient and scare crows are two different groups that don’t have much known about them.
