Shadow The hedgehog is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog/Black Arms hybrid who resembles Sonic the Hedgehog in many ways. Shadow was created as the "Ultimate Life Form" by Gerald Robotnik by using the DNA of Black Doom and is the final result of Project Shadow. His purpose was to provide ways to develop a cure for incurable deadly illnesses, more specifically for Gerald's granddaughter Maria Robotnik, who he had a great bond with. However, he was eventually captured following his creation and put into stasis by G.U.N. when he was deemed as a threat to humanity.

Appearance

Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his spines, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and a tan snout. He has six spikes on his head, four that curve upwards and two that curve downwards, two spikes on his back, and a small tail. For clothing, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes, which, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. He wears a single gold ring on each of his wrists and ankles.

Personality

Shadow The Hedgehog's personality includes being somewhat self-centered and cocky. Convinced that he is the ultimate form, he will wear an egotistical grin when he feels superior to his opponent, to the point of understatement with his words, is extremely determined, and doesn't care that the world is against him. In time, Sombra will learn to recognize when someone is on his level or superior to him, and will not think of appealing to humiliate his opponent. Sombra knows how to listen without interrupting, in fact he thinks about what he is told. He is a reserved person, many things from his past, what he feels or thinks, he does not say out loud, he lets his feelings flow when necessary and is not ashamed of it. He is direct, decisive, and his convictions and words are above his pride. Of course, he must occasionally speak in small jokes. And he's willing to help others, even if he doesn't understand what's going on.

Relationship with Sonic.

Despite their frequent battles, it seems that Shadow is beginning to develop feelings for Sonic that go beyond the strictly professional. This may be because he admires Sonic's speed, bravery, and carefree attitude, though he also believes that Sonic sometimes acts on instinct. The rivalry between the two would open the door to moments of tension, but also to more intimate approaches over time.
