Kyoka Jiro (耳じ郎ろう響きょう香か Jirō Kyōka ?) also known as Hearing Heroine: Earphone Jack (ヒアヒーローイヤホン＝ジャック Hia Hīrō Iyahon Jakku ?), is a student in Class 1-A at U.A Academy. She is training to become a Hero.

Personality

Personality: Kyoka has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, and mocking personality that is mainly shown to those she finds irritating, such as her classmate Denki Kaminari whose lack of ideas makes you an easy target for their sarcastic comments. However, Kyoka is not always like this, as she likes to socialize with others and spend time with her friends, in which case she is usually pleasant and friendly. Kyoka can also be quite aggressive, as evidenced when she uses the headphones her Quirk provides. to physically punish people when provoked or to keep them in line, especially Denki and Minoru Mineta. However during hero activities, Kyoka prefers more intelligent approaches, usually coming up with a plan herself. She is surprisingly organized and makes sure to convey her ideas in an easy to understand way. Despite the fact that she comes off as cold and indifferent, Kyoka also has a much more sensitive side, she is very defensive towards her friends, she is empathetic with the feelings of others and becomes nervous when her talents and abilities are flattered. While Kyoka is difficult to faze or surprise, she is afraid of horror-based activities and has an aversion to nudity. She is somewhat self-conscious about her appearance as well. Like her parents, Kyoka has a great interest in rock music and owns several instruments that she can play to some extent. However, at first she seemed somewhat embarrassed by her interests, because she perceived them as completely unrelated to heroism, but thanks to a great presentation during the U.A. Cultural Festival Arc. she was able to overcome that mentality.

Appearance

Appearance: Kyoka is a girl of small stature, with light skin and a slim build. She has triangular, lazy-looking onyx eyes with noticeably long lower eyelashes and rather small eyebrows. Her hair is short, just around her chin, and is dark purple with an asymmetrical fringe and two heart sound wave-shaped highlights on either side of her head. Her most notable features are the flexible, shaped headphone jacks. plug hanging from each of their earlobes at the end of two thin wires, which act as additional limbs; She seems to be able to control them at will and they are very flexible, able to change the length if she so desires. Unlike the other students, Kyoka sometimes wears a vest over her school uniform, instead of the usual U.A. blazer.

Hero Outfit: Her Hero Outfit consists of a jacket black leather, a long salmon-colored shirt with several rips at the collar and hem, black pants, and boots with stereos built into their shafts. He also has two small triangular marks of red paint just below his eyes, a plain black choker, and white fingerless gloves. General Skills: While Kyoka is not a hand-to-hand fighter, Kyoka has a good handle on her Quirk and uses it in many effective ways. . She utilizes the prehensile nature of her Earphone Jack in a whip-like manner and uses the sound waves generated by her Quirk to shock targets with vibrations, effectively stunning and sometimes defeating them. Kyoka excels at stealth and espionage, by connecting her jacks through extremely thick walls, she can eavesdrop on conversations or locate enemies.s, allowing Kyoka to be both an offensive and supportive Hero. In the U.S.J incident, Kyoka was able to use her Quirk's sound waves to stun some low-level members of the League of Villains and before the Provisional License Exam she improved the efficiency of his Quirk, allowing him to plug his jacks into the ground and generate sound waves strong enough to break the ground and disrupt large enemy formations. During the students' counterattack against Nine's team on Nabu Island, Kyoka worked alongside Mashirao Ojiro to surprise the powerful Nine before they were subdued by one of the Villain's Gifts. Shortly after, Kyoka and Mashirao were able to get up to help Mezo Shoji against the Villain, forcing Nine to use the full power of his Air Wall to defeat the trio of students.

Fencing

Swordsmanship: Although she does not directly use a sword in combat, Kyoka has proven to be skilled enough to wield a sword that Momo Yaoyorozu had made during the U.S.J incident and use it to defend herself against members of the League of Villains.

Sharp Intellect

Sharp Intellect: Despite her unenthusiastic behavior, Kyoka is quite intelligent, scoring seventh place in the midterms, showing her ability in Academics. She is also quite strategic, as she took advantage of the volatile nature of Denki Kaminari's Quirk to allow him to electrocute several villains in the U.S.J incident.

Musical Talent

Musical Talent: Thanks to her parents being music lovers, Kyoka learned to play instruments from a very young age. Like her parents, she can also play other instruments, such as the drums, but only to a certain extent. Kyoka is able to play the bass, which is her preferred instrument along with the guitar. In addition to her skill with instruments, Kyoka has a beautiful singing voice, which Mina Ashido described as "hoarse and sexy."
